HP compaq nx9110 has a very very dull screen when running on electricity. When you run it on battery it is perfect. However battery last for seconds and cuts out.Obviously the battery needs replacing. Will this fix the dull screen issue?
Thankyou

You'll have to replace the battery, of course...but for fixing the screen thing...you'll have to see if the powersource has the exact parameters that are writen on it...like for example I had the same problem with a fujitsu...and the actual charger, or powersource was having a lower output that the one writen on it...it was a 14 Volt, and 2 Amper, that was writen, but it only had 12 Volts and 1.3 Ampers at the output, when I measured it...so...I had to replace a 4.7 Ohm resistor, right at the exiting points, and it got fixed, so what I mean to say that after replacing the battery, you really have to check the powersource for any errors and see if the output is identical to the one writen on it...please tell me if I was right.
