I think you should bring the printer to have Hp check it out. If you think you can fix it, probability is that there is something snagging the inkjet carriage that is preventing it from printing. This is not unusual for HP printers. We have had 2 HP's that did this. We didn't fix it but sent it to Hp who replaced them. The problem was mechanical failure where one of their component broke off and caused the carriage to get stuck. Hope this helps.

Its required expert to release the service station, if you force to pull it will damages the print heads.. You justify what you can do for this issue...If you are capable do it...But care fully

Alarm message says "cartridge jammed". Does that

What you see moving is the print carriage. The carriage moves the cartridge, adjacent to the printhead, back and forth.
Although the carriage is moving, the ink cartridge can not dispense ink because an obstruction is
blocking the path of the ink.
Remove the ink cartridges, inspect the cartridges as well as the cartridge holders for any foreign debris and reinstall.
If the alarm message continues, I suggest changing the ink cartridges.

Paper keeps getting jammed

There is a rod in the carriage of your printer that is meant for holding the cartridges. It keeps on moving and spreading the ink on the paper throughout the process of printing. If this rod is jammed because of any reason, you face a carriage jam. As mentioned above, the main function of the carriage rod is to spread the ink, so obviously any clog or ink failure will lead to a poor print quality. If rollers of your printer are leaving marks on the document, then you need to clean them with a wet cleaning pad. Never use the chemical cleaners such as benzine, thinner, or alcohol to clean the rollers. In extreme cases you might need to replace an old cartridge of your Lexmark Printer with a newer one. Once you get a new cartridge for your printer, you need to be very careful while replacing it, otherwise it might cause a carriage jam.

Carriage jam on HP Officejet J5780 All-in-One

We have several of these in our company and the most common "Carriage Jam" cause is a glob of black ink in the bay on the right side. Once glob is removed, and "Carriage Jam" message appears again, press OK, and it prints fine from then on. Today the black ink glob was flat on top. Watch out for leaky cartridges, as the design of the particular HP device provides a nice catch pan for the tri-color ink cartridge, but not for the black one, so a leaky cartridge, besides being expensive and wasteful, can goop up the bay causing the carriage jam error message to try to get you to take a closer look.

Ink cartridge carrier jam

If possible, shut off the printer completely and manually move the ink carriage to where the cartridges can be swapped out. turn it back on and try again. try to see if some mechanism that holds the missing cartridge in place has swung down and is bumping into something, preventing the carriage from moving past a certain point.
