Iphone dosnt support OBEX. obex is the method for file transfer. it only supports handsfree headsets. there is no method for file transfer via bluetooth, u wanna go for app "dropcopy" this is for file transfer b/w 2 iphones.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Hi, I have an iPhone also, you don't connect to other phones anymore, like if you did with normal mobile, if say you searched in a full room of people with the iPhone you would just find the printer in the corner!?!?, bizarre i know, but thats Apple for you, (2 steps forward, 5 backwards) you just connect to Bluetooth appliances like, your car, printer, pc/mac.. Thanks Mark
1. turn off tooth 2. turn off bluetooth function on the iphone 3. push on and hold it on the bluetooth until solid blue light comes up 4. turn on bluetooth on the iphone, it finds it in 2 sec, password 0000
iPhone is not perfect, but it's one of the BEST phone ever made. Have it for 2 years and enjoy every second of it
the iphone 3g bluetooth is at present for headsets/handsfree devices only and cannot link/pair with anything else (phones/pc etc) it has been deliberately crippled to force file transfer etc to be done exclusively through itunes
in ur bluetooth settings, check whether ur phone is visible to other phones...if that option is off i.e ur phone is hid from other devices, plz turn on your phone's visibility...now other devices can detect ur phone..
This is not strictly true - my iPhone connects wonderfully to my Plantronics Voyager 520 headset. It will not connect to other phones, headphones, etc. via bluetooth. It is intentionally crippled and will only connect to a headset via bluetooth.
My guess is that Apple sells songs and doesn't want you trading them around to your friends via bluetooth. Whatever the reason, it's quite annoying.
you have to make sure that bluetooth is turned on.
go to your home screen, touch settings, then general, then bluetooth, make sure the bluetooth switch is set to on.
Then follow your directions for the your headset for pairing, usually it involves holding the power button down for so many seconds, then it will enter a "pairing" mode where the headset is able to be seen by phones.
Once that happens it should pop up on the bluetooth page of the iPhone and it will ask for the devices password. Most devices the default password is 1111.
Hope this helps and enjoy your Iphone, I know I do ;)
