Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Hi, I want to use my H.P Deskjet 520 (mono-printer) to print standard paper with a spirit-based and colourless solution that contains a percentage of 'linseed oil'. However the linseed oil is clogging the print-cartidge-jets. Can anyone assist in solving this problem ?? I'm offering a financial reward for the correct answer of £100 / US$200 This REWARD could be DOUBLED, Best regards. Edd.

I'm not sure why you need to use a solution w/ linseed oil. But the cartridge is not designed for oil based printing. It's original use is for water based dye inks. So any oil based or oil mixed product will eventually clog the jet sooner or later. Since you are printing w/ this I can only guess you are planning to coat the surface of the paper. There is another chemical that might be available w/ one of your ink manufacturers that is used to refill some Epson cartridges that they use to do a kind of gloss coating on paper. Using a printer to spot coat an area is possible. But most people just roller brush the whole sheet. It's faster than using the inkjet printer.

Can't get instuctions for my paper feed cleaning kit!

Hi,

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry. Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print. Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job. Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..
Thanks

HP 520 Desk Jet printing garbage

fot resolve this issue you should try that get a self test print ,( demo print) if it is good you have a software problem and also you should install the dirvers . if the demo test print is not good you have a hardware problem about carriage and ink system and you have to replace the carriage system.
