Sansui sr 333ere can I get a stylist for my sansui sr 333

If you look at the Cartridge it should have a make and model number on it. Put that into Google and it should find a replacement stylus.

I have a sansui FR-D25 automatic pll dc servo turntable. it hasnt been used in a couple of years due to a broken stylus. i have purchased a new one but now the metal plate sounds like its grating on the...

You will have to remove the bottom cover and pull the center post off. There is a set screw that holds it in place. Once removed you will need to clean the hole out of dirty grease and oil with a q-tip and alcohol. Then put some new oil in the hole. Just a small amount. Sewing machine or turntable oil or similar. Not motor oil! When put back together that will cause the platter to rise up and away from the base. You may also check the plastic gears under platter attached to the post to see if the are broken or cracked. If it is you have a major problem and it will need to be replaced with a donor part.

I changed the stylus in my DJ Tech 1000 turntable and now I have a much lower volume level recording onto ITunes. Any idea why?

HI, either the tracking weight is set too light or the stylus is not 100% compatable with your cartridge. Cheers john, Stylus City.

When i play a record it skips and when i play it on another turntable the same record doesnt skip

Hi, most likely a worn stylus or the tracking weight is set too lightly. Adjust the balance weight at the back end of tonearm forward slightly. If no weight adjustment available put a very small coin on the end of tonearm above the stylus.

Very low sound comming out pioneer pl300

Hi Jack.

Just confirm that it is plugged into a PHONO input (designed for turntables) Cannot use AUX/TAPE etc type inputs. If not, you will need an RIAA preamp from local electronics/Audio store. If that is OK, then try replace stylus first and the cartridge (may be just easier to do both same time). No volume control in turntables and it can only be 3 things (generally) Input, stylus, cartridge

Best of luck

Stylus will not catch

'Skating' is usually due to very low stylus pressure, which can be adjusted using a counterweight.

Is this the picture of the turntable ?
Isn't that a counterweight at the back-end of the arm ? Can't it be rotated ?

If the counter weight is fixed, check the pickup mounting. May be it needs to be adjusted a bit forward (to increasing the stylus pressure).
