Remote was "misplaced" (thrown out by... Someone)...

Remote was thrown out by... Someone I've looked for replacements or alternates and I'm pointed to the Harmony remotes. Think they’ll work?
Surely a multifunction remote like a one for all etc has codes that would work for a Sharp VT-G14!?
Without the remote there's no operation of the unit other than on, off, play, stop. Volume up & down. No pause on screen displays you know functionality.
