Question about Toshiba Qosmio F25-AV205: Pentium M 750 w/ Centrino 1.86GHz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, DVD RW, 10/100 ethernet, B... (QOSMIOF25AV205PENTIUMM) PC Notebook
The f25 av205 overheats. I have problems opening the compter to try to fix it.
The same thing happened to my laptop, to a point that it would keep dying out. I took it to circuit city, paid the fee, and when I returned to pick it up, was told that it would have to have parts replaced in it.That it would cost more than it was worth. I don't recall exactly what parts were entailed. (maybe he thought that I would just leave it because of the cost.)
A friend told me what to do: Purchase a can of compressed gas duster, and while computer is off spray the "heck" out of it. The keyboard, and every little crack and crevice, top and bottom. Then, get yourself a stand that is mesh throughout to set it on so the air can circulate. I purchased mine at office max. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
This was over a year ago and have not had a single reoccurance!!!!!
It worked for me!!!
Hope this solves your problem.
Just think, I almost got rid of my computer!!!

Remove all panels, all hidden screws check the edges of the keyboard for retaing clips then check for screws (PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO TEAR THE RIBBON CABLE UNDER THE KEYBOARD!!!) also remove rubber pads, lablels and look for hidden screws then on the side some connector clips that look innocent will actually hold the two panels together
