Type the messenger name with the help of the computer's "find" option. From there you'll have to click on the ".exe" file with the icon of the messenger. That should open the messenger again.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to view hidden files in Windows

Files can be hidden in Windows for a variety of reasons. Certain system files can be hidden so that a careless user doesn't accidentally delete or modify them. Personal files might be hidden by their creator so that other users can't view them. And malware or spyware programs might install themselves and hide the files to make them harder to find.

But whatever the reason a file is hidden, you can view hidden files if you want to in Windows. To set Windows to show hidden files, open a folder or go into Windows Explorer and under the Tools menu, click Folder Options. Go to the View tab, and under the heading "Hidden files and folders," click the radio button next to "Show hidden files and folders." Then click Apply or OK.

Now, when you view a folder that has a hidden file or subfolder in it, that file or folder will be visible. When you see a hidden file in a Windows folder, it will be listed right along with the rest of the files in that folder, but its icon or thumbnail will appear faded and pixellated. You can open it and access it just like any other file, but it's technically "hidden."

To change a file's attributes so it's not hidden anymore, right click on the file and select Properties. In the General tab, at the bottom, uncheck the box next to "Hidden" and click Apply. Now, when you view the folder where that file resides, it will look the same as the other files. (If you want to make the file hidden again, just go back into its properties and re-check the "Hidden" box and click Apply.)

How to Remove Windows XP's Messenger
Theoretically, you can get rid of it (as well as a few other things). Windows 2000 power users should already be familiar with this tweak.

Fire up the Windows Explorer and navigate your way to the %SYSTEMROOT% \ INF folder. What the heck is that thingy with the percentage signs? It's a variable. For most people, %SYSTEMROOT% is C:\Windows. For others, it may be E:\WinXP. Get it? Okay, on with the hack! In the INF folder, open sysoc.inf (but not before making a BACKUP copy first). Before your eyes glaze over, look for the line containing "msmsgs" in it. Near the end of that particular line, you'll notice that the word "hide" is not so hidden. Go ahead and delete "hide" (so that the flanking commas are left sitting next to one another). Save the file and close it. Now, open the Add and Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. Click the Add / Remove Windows Components icon. You should see "Windows Messenger" in that list. Remove the checkmark from its box, and you should be set. NOTE: there are other hidden system components in that sysoc.inf file, too. Remove "hide" and the subsequent programs

My DVD/CDW-ROM drive is gone! It is a TSSTcorp TS-H552D How can I down load a new driver free?

Try the following link;

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/en-us

If that doesn't work I suggest you install a free program called "Slim Drivers" and allow it to scan your system and locate the correct driver. I recommend noting which drivers you're installing so they can be rolled back should one of them not function properly.

Do not know to find a hidden window

If you have Windows XP, open up any folder, go up to TOOLS, then Click on Folder Options, After that click on the VIEW tab. You should now see where it says Advanced settings, go down and click on " Show Hidden Files And Folders"

For Vista Open up any folder, click on ORGANIZE at the top and scroll down to Folders and Search Options. Once in the Folder options click on the View Tab, you should then see where you can click on " Show Hidden Files and Folders"

I would suggest once you get that folder back, go back into the folder options and click on the Do Not Show Hidden files, because when you show the hidden files you are also showing important system folders.

I have a sony 512 memory stick which has a passlock coded area, recently I have not been able to enter this area as when I click on the lock the warning 'execute FD error' comes up then I press OK and the...

I had exactly the same problem today. I reinstalled the passwordlock software (http://www.sony.net/Products/Media/Microvault/products/usm-ex/index.html#download) and everything works fine again.
The installation procedure creates a new Security.FSD file, so be sure to make a copy of this file and move the copy back to the USB stick after reinstalling the passwordlock software. Otherwise you will loose all secured data. Security.FSD is a hidden file, so windows explorer must be set to show these files.

Try uninstalling the TS from the control panel-system-devices (hardware).
Reboot and reinstall the drivers when asked.
The driver must match the OS.
The TS may be defective, does it operate proper on another Pc?
