If it is a retail version of Vista, you can find the key on the Box. If it is an OEM version (pre-installed in laptops/ desktops) you can find the key on the COA sticker of the computer.
If you can't find it, you can contact Microsoft tech support for a replacement. They will ask for the part number on the disc example X1-12345.
