Question about HTC Touch P3450 Smartphone

1 Answer

HTC ringtones Hi super smart phone people. My HTC touch is fantastic and I was all happy until all my ringtones stopped working. I created a few with the mp3 trimmer and they worked fine until I downloaded a software(can't remember what it was). It was kind of like windows media player but not. I thought it was something else. Anyways, after that I haven't been able to use my ringtones. I can use the basic ones but if I select my "mp3" tones it automatically goes back to the default. I've deleted the program I installed but that hasn't!!

Try to move those ringtones to your PC, rename them and reupload them to your phone after restarting it.

Hi i have a HTC touch Pro2 phone i need pc suite software.... i want to put song , videos etc in htc phone so plz tell me where can i download this Pc suite software...

HTC Touch P3540 / P3452 doesn't come with PC Suite. You can download the software named "Active Sync 4.5" from Microsoft. The software is available on Microsoft website at below link -

After installing make sure that you are creating pairing between your PC/Laptop and HTC Smartphone. Until this is completed, you cant transfer any of your media files to your phone.

Do let me know if the problem is resolved or not.

remove cable and select file explorer from program menu or start. browse to your memory card or phone memory where we have created folder ringtone.
next select the ringtone you want to use and hold it for a second you will get prompt to use as ringtone.just select it.

On non-smart phones with limited onboard memory they limit the ringtones to 10 seconds for a reason. If it was longer it takes more onboard memory which slows the complete functionality of the phone. If this is something you were very interested in look for a smart-phone with SD capable storage expansion. I would look for an HTC/Blackberry/iPhone as they are dedicated MP3 players as well as capable to have ringtones longer than 10 seconds. I use MP3 Direct Cut to cut my ringtones manually and for those 3 devices they all have app stores to cut and crop your ringtones to size. If this phone is capable of doing it, the file might be too big, try lowering the quality of the mp3 by using Winamp/Windows Media Player.

My htc touch pro 2 smart phone screen is locked and seems to be frozen, I have reset and removed battery with no results how can I unlock this screen?

It might be a hardware problem, if you already tried the soft reset (removing the battery) then the next step is to hard rest. This will lose all your information and settings, the phone will be like the first day you took it home (and hopefully the screen will work)
First make sure the phone is off, then press and hold the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons until you see a message on the screen.
Once the message appears release the buttons and press the volume up key for a hard reset.

How can I set a ringtone that I have on my SD card as a download as a contact ringtone?

If you want them off the SD card, they need to be in a specific directory. Mount your SD card, and from your computer, create the following directories (if they are not there already):

-create a folder named media
-within this folder, create a folder named audio
-within this folder, create a folder named ringtones

Copy any audio files into that ringtones directory. I know mp3 and ogg files will work.

Unmount your SD card. Reboot your phone, and when you want to assign a ringtone, any of the newly copied ones should be on your list.

Problems with HTC Touch

For the first problem go to your phone and select menu then Smart Dialing Options. Turning this off stops the phone from dialing the wrong number.

Not sure about the second one...seems like Windows mobile needs to reboot every day or else it has problems just like PC windows :|
