I have my Viglen Monitor Model No.MS500 S/N 1H405302659 need assistance to find data of the CTX controller unit and the Flyback Transformer. write to email:h.thilak@gmail.com

If both the controller and the flyback is faulty it is best to buy a new monitor than to repair.
The data sheet of the controller IC can be downloaded from the link below:

Try another cable, or check the plug for bent pins. If they are all good, check that the monitor is set for VGA input (if it supports VGA and DVI) as it may be looking for a different input. Then replace the monitor. It's not common, but video processing circuitry can sometimes fail, and yours may have. New 17-inch LCD monitors are quite inexpensive now, so it would probably be more economical to replace this one than to try repairing it.

Ctx pv720a monitor goes blank

This is what inverter board looks like:

Look for bad caps also, more likely to need new inverter board, warning, you can have bad lamp assembly also.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Get a no vga signal on my monitor, then screen is blank what could it be ? thanks

The monitor is not detecting a signal from your video output.
The video circuit may be blown. If it is a plug in card, try re-seating the card in the slot. Make sure your cable is seated good and there are no problems with it. If you have another monitor, you might try it. If the video circuit is part of the mother board you may have to get a new one. If not on maintenance, you could try buying a plug in video card. May have to reset your BIOS settings to let the system know you are switching to a plug in card. Also, your monitor could be having a problem.

Black line over entire width of ctx monitor screen 1mm depth in mid screen.

You need a new screen surface...you can order one from any reputable dealer....just take your monitor apart and unattach all of the components and replace the screen area with the appropriate part. You are not specifying whether or not it's an LCD or a CRT...if it's a CRT just go buy a new one :) if it's an LCD you can replace the screen for 100 dollars or so.

My monitor is not turning on, when i push power button, no light.

Your technician is talking about the horizontal output transistor near the flyback transformer. These things get hot during operation so they are mounted on a heatsink. If you really want to try to repair the monitor, you can take the back off the monitor and read the part number right off the transistor. There are many sources for transistors, although not all parts are easy to find.

I wouldn't recommend trying this repair. First, it's not a simple matter of unplugging a part and putting in the new one. They are soldered in so you'll need some some experience with desoldering and resoldering. Also, while horizontal output transistors do sometimes just fail, they usually go bad because other parts fail first. If you don't have some experience with troubleshooting this kind of equipment, you may be wasting time and money trying to fix this yourself. There are also dangerous voltages present in the monitor, even after it's been off for a while, that can shock or even kill you.

So many people are replacing monitors today with flat screens that you should be able to find one for very little money or even free. If there are resale shops (Goodwill, etc.) in your area, that's a good source. I've seen monitors in shops around here for $10. There are also flea markets, ads in your local newspaper, Craigslist online. It would be safer and less costly to think about replacing your monitor.

This IS an inverter issue. You need a new inverter. Open the LCD and find the inverter model number and search Ebay.
