My computer won't play videos

-   I have a windows vista computer. Just recently I've been wanting to watch some videos but they play for like five seconds or so, and then it stops. And for those five seconds that the video is playing, there's no sound. I know my speakers work because I tested them by using a sound test on my computer, but now I want to know, what's going on???-   Alvaro_B

-   My video playback has gotten worse and worse. I have XP. There is a plug-in you can buy for Windows Media player that allows you to view videos -   aikonawihs

-   when I go to youtube or most other video sites it tells me that they are no longer available. this is a brand new HP laptop-   Guest

-   i recently bought a hp laptop with vista... if i go to youtube or any other site with videos, it tells me that any and all of them are no longer available. why? -   kenzidavis

-   I have a new dell vostro with windows visto and internet explorer 7. I know that the problem isnt with my connection as my computer works fine and i have had the same probelm in with other connections. the issue is that with streaming video such as youtube, megavideo, or nhl.com my buffer will only go so far and then stop. It will then wait for the playback to catch up and pause and then it will buffer (incredibly slowly) a little farther and then stop buffering all together -   bosox599
