Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

Please help. i had got his request from a premium customer. i am confused with his problem. i want to request you to help him out in this issue. ORIGINAL PREMIUM PROBLEM: Generic problem for all Projection Televisions I have a phillips 60pp9100d that has no picture or sound. I keepsflashing I2c bus error. I have resoldered the flyback connections andanything else that looked suspect. After turning the tv back on I getthe same result,I can hear the flyback powering up as before but thatsit. Do I need to proceded with replacing the Ic chips or go in anotherdirection? REQUEST PROBLEM: The guy I got this tv from said he pluged in the s-video on the backand the screen rolled twice and then it lost picture and sound. The "onbutton" when activated would flash in the beginning 2 times, which thisis the error code for "no horizontal flyback protection. It has notshown that code anymore. It now flashes 6 times when the power buttonis activated which is A"general I2c error main I2c bus". I do not havepicture or sound. The main board has power and has had all solderjoints resoldered.I have a service manual for this model and I waswondering if ic chip Mc44603a would be the next step in diagnosing thisproblem. The pin connections diagram leads me to believe that thiscontrols current to the power transformer. This is labeled as (ic7302)on the schematic if you have access to one. I have ordered various icchips for this model in hopes of someone pointing me in the rightdirrection. Thanks THANK YOU

IC7302 should be checked for in and out voltages to see is its the IC istself that is at fault or possibly a leaky diode after or before the IC. Checking pin voltages will be the only way to track the problem down and isolate exactly whats happening. If you need more assistance please let me know

It has blue spots (pixels) around the edges. There is a egg shaped center that does not have it, all other places do. It stays on the entire time, even after turning off the TV, until the lamp goes off....

This is really a problem to some Mitsubishi projection TVs.

This LCD Projection Television uses three LCD panels to create the screen image. This technology creates the image using small dots, or picture

elements (pixels). Your LCD Projection TV is manufactured to a high level of performance and quality, in fact, 99.99% perfect in the number of

properly functioning pixels. As in other display technology, sometimes a pixel is continuously active, inactive or the incorrect color. Our standard is
clear; MDEA warrants only that the percentage of properly functioning pixels will be not less than 99.99% of all pixels.
This is the company says about this problem. Your set need service care fro authorised service center.

BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE, please review the instruction booklet to insure proper installation and correct customer control
adjustment. If the problem persists please arrange for warranty service

Hi I pressed the wrong button turning the TV on, now I have no sound and can't get it back. please help.

SAP (Second Audio Program) may be turned on. This used to be a widespread RCA problem maybe caused by incorrect conversion of analog signals for viewing as phony HD images. Costly class action lawsuits addressed the problem in USA. Most of the specific equipment causing the problem used by broadcast/production/satellite industries was either adjusted correctly or replaced. If the problem re-occurs, it may caused by specific TV channels or programs that you watch. Codes inserted in the signal are incorrect and confusing the RCA TV Guide and audio processing circuits. The error causes SAP to be incorrectly selected as default for all channels.

Change audio settings in customer adjust menu to Stereo from SAP. Sometimes the On screen TV Guide set-up must be cleared of location, etc., and set-up again.

Sometimes it is difficult to set correctly. Unplug TV for 12-24 hours and TV may reset to default stereo setting instead of SAP.

This was an active Class Action legal issue 10-15 years ago in the USA.

I have a Polaroid flat screen LCD TV model number TLS 015 11B, but have lost the user manual. Can you help me please?

You have two choices purchase it from the internet, or (the best) contact the manufacture, they will sometimes send it to you at no cost, if you call customer service and if you express you concern.
