Samsung monitor goes blank after working perfectly for a period of time.

Have you checked monitor settings Carl? Some are set to sleep after a certain period of time. Mine was set to sleep after 1 hour (unknown to me) until I reset it. =)

My 43inch nec plasma, will not pick up an incoming signal. it switches on (blank screen), but after around 20 seconds, it goes to standby.

It's going into standby because it's not receiving anything on another end for a set period of time. Be sure to check certain aspects of the monitor if you are connecting it to a PC.
Check if the PC is on first. Obvious, but youd be surprised. Make sure both cables are connected firmly and securely. Also make sure you're using the right cables. If the monitor has multiple inputs, try toggling through them If it still doesn't work, check if the computer is outputting signal on another monitor.
Hope some of these tips help

I am getting blank screen, after some time..Please help

If you get a display when you first turn on then after, say, 10 minutes it goes blank, your power settings could be too low. Does it come back if you wiggle the mouse?

If you go into Start/Control Panel/Power Settings you should see a "Power off monitor" or similar. Either turn this to a longer time period or set to Never. The last option isn't going to do your electricity bill any favours though.

Dell SE198WFP 19" LCD won't come out of standby

I went into the BIOS (with F2 during restart) and changed a value -- IIRC it was called something like "power management scheme" -- from the default S3 to the other choice, S1. Now the old Dell XP Dimension 2350 will go into and out of Standby correctly and the new SE198WFP 19" LCD will too.

It turns off after 10 minutes working

When you say it turns off, is the power light going out too?

If the power light is still lit when the screen blanks, it may be a faulty backlight inverter.

After 10 minutes elapse and the screen goes out, if you power it back on, do you get another 10 min, or does it last a much shorter time period, or not at all?

Your best bet is probably simply to buy a new monitor, and sell yours as "broken" on eBay, I'm sure someone out there capable of fixing it would be willing to pay pennies on the dollar to subsidize your replacement screen.

E-yama 17" flat screen monitor

It sounds like the internal bulb in your monitor is going out. Some LCD monitors go through a slight warm-up period but it should not be 5-10 minutes. You may want to change your Power Saving settings to prevent from going into standby. Here's how:

Right-click in an open space on your desktop
Choose Properties
Click the Screen Saver tab
Down at the bottom look for the Power settings
Change the Monitor Standby to NEVER
Click OK

Good luck!!
