Note: If your Kobo device has been physically damaged, it is no longer covered by Kobo's limited warranty. On a Kobo eReader, a physically damaged screen will look like it's been shattered, or you may see vertical or horizontal lines on the screen with a frozen image. If you haven't dropped or damaged your Kobo eReader, but are experiencing issues, try the steps below in the order suggested.
Turn your eReader off and then on again.
If your screen is frozen, slide the power button to the right and hold it for 10 seconds. Your eReader should turn off.
Turn your eReader off and charge it for at least four hours. Note: Your computer should be turned on while you are charging your Kobo eReader.
If your eReader isn't charging, try using a different Micro USB cable or a different USB port on your computer. Note: If your eReader's battery is completely drained it can take up to 15 minutes before it reacts to being plugged into power.
If you're having trouble while reading a book on your Kobo Aura H2O, Kobo Aura, Kobo Aura HD, Kobo Glo, or Kobo Mini: tap the centre of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu, tap the > Home icon to return to your Home screen, then open your book again.
If you're having trouble while reading a book on your Kobo Touch: press the Home button and open your book again.
To reset any frozen iPod with a click wheel, you will first want to ensure that the hold button is not on or stuck by sliding it to the on position and then off again. Next you will need to simultaneously press and hold both the menu and center buttons for at least six seconds but until the apple icon appears on the screen. If this does not resolve the issue, the next best resolution is to plug the iPod into a wall charger and let it charge for several hours or until fully charged. Then repeat the reset process.
To reset an iPod touch, you will need to press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least six seconds or until the Apple icon appears. As will the iPod click wheel models, if the first attempt does not work I would suggest charging the unit for several hours or until fully charged. After words, repeat the reset process. If a reset does not resolve the issue, the next trouble shooting step would be to restore the iPod using the latest version of iTunes. To restore an iPod touch, open iTunes on your computer and connect iPod touch to your computer with the provided USB cable. After a moment or two you will notice that in the left column under Devices, you will be able to see an iPod icon; click on your iPod touch, then click on Restore in the Summary tab. Follow any on screen instructions and do not remove the iPod until after it is completely restored. To restore an iPod click wheel, open iTunes on your computer and connect iPod touch to your computer with the provided USB cable. After a moment or two you will notice that in the left column under Devices, you will see an iPod icon; click on your iPod. In the resulting page you will see a button that says restore. Click that and follow any and all on screen instruction ensuring that you do not disconnect your iPod until it is completely restored. WARNING: If you do not have a back up of your data on the iPod you will have to re-gather it. I always recommend making a back up of your iPods content before an issue arises to ensure that there will be no lost data.
1. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the Walkman to the Computer. 2. Disconnect all other USB devices if you have connected to avoid conflict. 3.Connect the Walkman to the other USB ports on the Computer. 4.Check whether the USB Driver is installed in the Computer or if it is corrupted. You can check whether the USB Driver is corrupted or not by following steps below(only for Windows Operating System). Right-click on MyComputer icon and select "Manage". Then, select Device Manager at the left plane.
Then check whether any "Unknown device" or "?" or "!" is listed under
Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the bottom of the right pane. If there is so, then right-click on it and select uninstall. This will un-install the USB Driver. Then, un-plugg the USB cable and plug-it in. Now, the Walkman should be recognized as a removable device in My Computer.
the issue persists, then connect the Walkman to a different Computer to
check whether the issue is with the Computer or the Walkman.
the issue persists even with different Computer, then try resetting the
Walkman by pressing the RESET button located at its bottom. You can use
any pin or any sharp pointed object to reset it. Then connect back the Walkman to check whether it works.
If the issue persists you may try using a different compatible USB cable.
Try restoring it, plug your iPod into your computer and open up iTunes, select your iPod in the list to the left, then click the "Restore" button located right under the big picture of your iPod model. Restoring will take several minutes.
if you have the instruction manual get it and see if theres a way you can reset it. like on an ipod you hold the center button and it reboots much like when you hold the power button on your computer. hope this helped
