"" "Will not complete the load cycle. Will not play a disc" "Does it do it to ALL disc.? Or just the one disc.?
Buy a good CD disc cleaner, do not buy it at the "Dollar" store and try by cleaning your machine heads.Clean your CD disc before you place them into the machine.I sometimes have to "load" and "reload" the button before I get the "gookiees" out of my system.

Hi Nigel,
There are three reasons for discs not playing.
First, if the set has been lying for some time, the loading belt becomes lose and the loading is not complete. The result is no disc play.
Second, there is dust on the lense. Again the result is no disc play.
Third, the lense unit has gone bad or weak. Here also the result is no disc play.

Won't complete the load disc process

Loading may mean it is not seeing the disc---A dirty or bad optical pickup is possible if you get this error with every disc.

My pioneer dv600av-s tray will close almost immediately

I have run across this the odd time, this is caused by a stretched loading belt, the reason why it opens and closes is it cannot complete the cycle to open because the belt is slipping, replacing the belt will cure this problem.

The tray goes in but doesnt react to the play button and comes right out again.

THere may be a weak loading belt, the CD door cannot quite complete the cycle to close, so there for it ejects the disc.

IT WILL OPEN AND SHUT IMMEDIATLY

There is probably a loading belt that has become stretched and the tray is not completing the cycle, " meaning it is not opening all the way and ends up closing just as fast " this a tricky repair best suited for a professional.

After installing disc, screen shows no disc. What gives? Goes through loading cycle, the right to no disc.

This problem is caused when your dvd
lens is dirty or needs a replacement.
The lens is the device in the dvd that
make it possible for a user to play a
disc.

Movie starts loading but "hangs up" load never completes. What's wrong?

The most likely cause of your frustration with the BDP-S350 is that your player's firmware is not the most current. I have the same model, and had similar problems with Blue Ray Discs like 'Wall-E'.

The solution is to go to sony's website, download the firmware upgrade, burn it to a disc and then load the disc into the player to fix it.

I hope that helps.
