You will have to open the case. This is normally done by removing the
plastic strip above the keyboard, removing the keyboard, and then
opening the case.
Most laptops have screws on the bottom of the case. In some models, the
keyboard screws have a little picture of a keyboard next to them.
Eventually, you will probably have to remove all the bottom screws. The
keyboard will have screws at the top of it, so they are removed from
the top as well as the bottom.
The case is held together with plastic tabs. Once all the screws are
out, you can start in one corner and using a plastic or wooden flat
utensil (actually a cuticle tool is good if it's plastic or wood) and
gently pry the case apart. Then you can get to the fan. It's probably
attached to a heat sink which cools the CPU, so you will need to use
heat sink compound when putting it back together.
