wirelessly hooking up xbox live is an easy, simple process; tech savy or not. first, you will need a wireless networking adapter, which range from 80 to 100$ USD. bestbuy or walmart .com are examples of retailers of such product.
hook up the the adpater into the back of the xbox 360.
if you do not have a wireless router that is currently serving no purpose, you will need.
bestbuy and walmart are once again ideal retailers, and i would suggest a Linksys brand router, hook that up and configure to your router.
no more purchases, except for a xbox membership of course.
turn on the xbox with the Wireless networking adapter plugged in and tap the center "Big X" button, scroll right twice and find "network setting" from there, configure network, and then scan for networks...
if you were successful in hooking up the router, you will find your router as an option to connect to, you may or may not have a specified sercurity.
if you do, you will be required to enter the password you chose.
you should now be connected to xbox live...
want a friend? add gamertag: "xInsanitea" and we can play sometime... thanks for reading!
If your computer is already connected connected then connecting the PS3 will not stop the computer from connecting to the router. For instructions on setting up the PS3, Xbox, or Wii, for a
wireless/Internet connection. please click on this link :-
You need to allow your router proper MAC address assigned from your xBox live, and allowed in router firewall, those things can really make problem to you :)
And enjoy playing! :) Seyaa around, please rate my solution :)
ok what you will have to do is go to control panel and unistall all the software for the belkin then you will have to reinstall the software when you install make sure you only hook up the router to the computer and get it to work then you can hook up the xbox and the ipone you will have to set up port forwerding for the xbox to work correctly.
You don't need any special software, just the internet. If you have a router or modem just hook a regular ethernet from the modem/router to the back of the XBOX. Then you will have to set up an XBOX Live account. You can see instructions here After that, you should be able to play your games against other people online.
If it works are your friends but not yours. It is probably your network configuration. Just let the XBOX perform its connection check and it will tell you if it is getting a network address (i.e. 192.168.0.xxx). If not, it is probably a bad cable or maybe DHCP is not turned on in the router settings. If it gets an network address and fails, maybe your router firewall is blocking connections or just is not compatible with the XBOX. Here is a list of compatible hardware (http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/xboxlive/getconnected/CompatibleNetworkEquipment/CompatibleNetworkingEquipment.aspx)
Well, it's very possible if you are using a wireless router that your connection may not be strong enough. XBOX Live and most online gaming requires a steady. strong, high bandwith connection. A weak singnal, OR someone else using up the bandwith (i.e. someone downloading music on another computer connected to your router) can cause the problem.
If you're using a wireless connection, try moving the router and wireless game adapter closer to each other.
If you're using a hardwire connection from one of the routers outgong ports then make sure other's aren't on the internet (Or at least aren't using alot of bandwith) while XBOX Live is being used.
Please remember also that if you have a wireless network and you haven't implimented wireless secruity (i.e. WEP or WPA encryption) then your network is "Open" and anyone within range can connect and use up your bandwith,
