Camera beeps and won't turn

I have a Casio Exilim EX-V7 and was running into the same problem. I just solved this issue on my camera by turning it on (LCD still does not activate), then I held the play button simultaneously while holding down the shutter/picture button. I heard a click and the LCD screen lit up. Everything seems to be working fine for the moment.

Try this.......open the shutter, then press play and menu button simultaneously. When you see "ver 1.00" on the screen, press the shutter button. This has fixed our problem.

Try playing with the lense I had the same problem. I would turn it on and the screen was frozen, the three beeps then it turned off. I played with the lense since it was sticking out and I tried turning it on again and it worked. :]
