Question about Mitsubishi VS-60707 60" Rear Projection Television

Mitsubishi ws 65857 powers off

Similar to what others have been saying about their Mitsubishi projection tv just turning off after a second.  Others have suggested replacing capacitors on DM board but jpgs I have seen on internet aren't of the ws 65857.  Therefore I don't know which board is the DM board and which caps may need to be replaced.

Your set is the V17 chassis it doesnt have a DM board, your problem is most likely centerd on the main Circuit board .

The Convergence ICs and pico fuses need replacement. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model from www.tvrepairworld.com the kits contains the parts and the CD with instructions

Mitsubishi WS 65857 Picture problem.


Mitsubishi's have been known to "burn in" when you have a stationary image on the screen for too long. Usually its not a problem but in some cases I've seen..if its hours and hours of game play..or even places like home shopping network that have phone numbers that never move during the broadcast...it can cause the image to burn the screen.

The projection tubes would not be burned...it would be the mirror viewing screen.
