I was running Photoshop CS2 & installed an update to CS3. Can I remove CS2 from my programs or does this support the addition of CS3? Thanks, Ian Russell

You need it to be able to run CS3. There are shared components.

Not sure what you mean by compatible. InDesign CS3 can place images created/edited in Photoshop CS2.

Solution: Install the Photoshop CS2 9.0.1 update.
Download and install the update from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/downloads .
Background information
Photoshop CS2 cannot open TIFF, PSB and PDF files larger than 2 GB if they were saved in Photoshop without compression or if they contain a pattern layer style or a pattern content layer. The 9.0.1 update allows you to reopen these files in Photoshop CS2.

The Photoshop and Illustrator programs don't care which Windows operating system you have. However there are are known problems with CS2 and Vista that CS3 addresses. My CS2 still works with Vista anyway. You can update the programs through Adobe update for the version that you have. That is update, not upgrade.

Photoshop 7.0

Unfortunately the "official" word is out. Photoshop 7.0, 7.0.1 is not compatible with Apple's newest Operating System, Leopard (10.5).
Adobe Photoshop versions CS (8.0) CS2 (9.0) and CS3 (10.0) do run in Leopard but may have some issues. The only suggestion I have for you is either revert back to Tiger (10,4) or upgrade your Photoshop to CS3. Adobe offers a discounted upgrade price from 7.0, CS1, CS2 to CS3 for $199. That's a lot better then paying the full retail price of $649.00. I wish I had a better suggested solution for you. You're not alone on this one.
