You have to remove individual keys they normally pop off by levering them easy not by hard force and you need to clean underneath them and pop them back on

My logitech keyboard is locked up. I was cleaning the keyboard with a napkin and now it won't work.

Thank you for using FixYa
More than likely you have jammed a key and it stuck, try and see if a key is depressed and pull it up with your fingers or a toothpick or popsicle stick, use something that won't scratch it. You might try to turn it upside down and tap on the back with your hand. There may be a piece of paper stuck in the keys and in that case a pair of tweezers might remove it. The key tops will actually pop off and can be pressed back down. If all that does not get it then most keyboard has some screws on the back and can be removed. Look under the legs, sometimes they hide there. If that still does not work, check and see if the cord is plugged in or twisted.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

How do I get my mouse to not choose multiple icons when I click on one? Also, when I try to type a .com address, the keys are on cap lock even though I don't have the cap lock key on.

Sounds like you have a button sticking on your keyboard. Turn the keyboard upside down and gently tap on it to remove any foreign particles also get some electronic compressed dusting air. Or buy a new keyboard.

My compaq mini 110 - some of the keys are not working and i get these long streaks of letters like wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww when i just type it once

It sounds like you W key gets stuck. A possible solution is to press it down hard and wiggle it side to side to force the mechanism and rubber contactors to shake off any dust and dew buildup. If this doesn't work you may try to remove the key, but you'll have to work carefully so you don't break the key.

Keys stick on the keyboard T D V F IN particular.

If you use a laptop then the keys should be able to come off. You probably have something stuck underneath the keys. Get a small screwdriver and slowly prise the key off. give the key a good wipe underneath the key and on the connetion.

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

A can of air will fix this problem. You can find this at any electronics store. Turn the keyboard upside down and blow the air into the keyboard. This will clean the keyboard and anything stuck inside. Dust, food, etc. generally, over time, tends to get stuck in the keyboard and causes the "sticky" keys.

Hope this helps!

Keyboard and mouse failure

Sounds like there may be keys on the keyboard getting stuck or keys that went bad. Move your hand over all the keys and see if you can feel any of them that are slightly pressed in. If not then just move your hands over all the keys and it may unstick any of the keys that aren't all the way up by chance.

If both of these methods fail then they keyboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Keyboard sticking during playing world of warcraft

Sometimes mine does the same too. So, I took out the keys that stuck, I made sure that they were clean underneath, then put them back in, making sure that the metal bar, that some keys have underneath, is back under the key, in the right place. I hope this helps.

Keys on my SK9920 do I clean it?

The same thing happened to me with my gateway keyboard. The f2, f3, and f4 keys were stuck down in the keyboard itself. I just wanted a quick fix, so I soaked a paper towel, rung it out, and cleaned the keys like that, all the keys work wonderfully now

Backspace doesnt work

in all likelihood your shift key is stuck. try pressing and releasing both shift keys in an attempt to "free" them. Also, check to ensure that "sticky keys" is not enabled on your computer(pressing and holding the shift key for about 10 seconds should pop up a window if it is. if the window appears, just make sure that the key is not "stuck" by windows).

Solution: mechanical agitation for your shift keys to attempt to free them, and a good thorough cleaning for all of your keyboard with canned air and/or a lint free cloth damp with dilluted isoprophyl alchohol to prevent this from happening in the future with these or other keys. Alternately, replace your keyboard.
