Black box in center of screen
A large black box popped up in the center of the screen, and the only times it goes away is when the tv is in HD, or the tv menu is displayed.

- in non-hd, picture splits in the middle (black line in the middle of the screen) and the left side of the picture appears on the right and right side of the appears on the left. tried changing settings with no luck. HD picture is excellent.- fiff

The Panasonic call center helped us with this one. Our Closed Captioning had been turned on through the TV settings. This made us have a black box with everything besides our cable. Turning off CC on our TV Main Menu solved the problem for us.
