Was wondering if you knew a fix for this?

No not running and after sitting all night I am getting the E-1 error. Thermostat is not kinked.

We actually drained it thats when it stopped because it froze up. Now apparently that means we did not have it angled like we should have but the way the AC is built it sits flush in the window if it should have been angle I would have thought they would build it that way :)

Anyway there is a fix for the E-1 error do you have one that is easier to understand. I found the big post there too hard to follow...not mechanically inclined but very hot so lol I am willing to try.

I had a problem with my Haier Air Conditioner also and was getting an E8 error message. We had taken the air conditioner out to clean it and when we put it back in all we could get was the E8 error message. We tried several different things so I don't know if it was a combination or luck. Here is what we did.

First we tried holding in all the buttons on the panel and another person hit the on/off button on the remote (per a suggestion on the internet). The fan stayed on, but the compressor would cycle and it would get cold for a few minutes then kick off, but we never could get the buttons on the control panel to work. Nothing happened when we pushed them.

Then we checked the thermostat (the little tube in the front) . The thermostat tube was touching the coils. We rearranged the tube so it was not kinked or touching the coils. It was then getting cold, but we couldn't control the buttons. So we unplugged it (reluctantly because it was cool then) and plugged it back in and it started working. Hope this helps someone! I don't know if what we did worked or the mother board got wet and just happened to dry out or something.

The e8 code has something to do with getting the control board wet. When u try to do it wit the controls on the unit nothing happens. But u can still use the remote to turn it on and adjust the fan and cooliant settings.

How to add freon to a Haier hwr10xc6 Thru-Wall/Window Air? i accidentally damaged one of the copper lines & all the freon came out but i welded it back together put how to at it & where? help!

If the unit has no existing service valves you will have to purchase some - and braze them into the freon lines. Valves (with valve cores) can be purchased at a AC Supply house fairly cheaply and then you can braze them into the lines. One in the suction (big line that gets cold) and one in the liquid line (the one that gets warm). NOTE: be sure NOT to weld this into the 'discharge line' (one straight out of compressor).
Once you have the two valves welded into the unit - you can then charge the unit.
Good Luck!

Thru the wall AC units(small)

If the Ac unit can not fit your window, you can put a wall unit, you don’t have to open the wall and mount a stable unit, you just need to buy a portable AC unit put on.

This way cost you not too much.

Haier hwr10xc6 thru-wall/window air conditioner

Does the unit have an energy saver or timer feature? It should be on the top front panel of your unit. If so, read and follow the directions in your manual. If you still have problems, contact Haier at their toll free Customer Service helpline.
