Boot my TP 600X get errors 161 and 163 on post [also 8611], still has a blank POP, so have to give it a return after the lock icon [this is how got into this problem to begin with, since the keyboard connector is broken, and thought removing the battery, and the CMOS battery would rest this, it did not, and after finding to things in the hardware manual, how to reset POP via POP pads, and a keyboard can be connected to the mouse PS2 via a Y cable]. Then get this screen that shows the error list, similar to the BIOS setup page in a rectangle, a bird that can be moved by the mouse and a choice in the bottom of the box of either OK or Cancel, or pressing a Return, all of which rresults in the screen changing what is in the rectangular box to have the error list and a ---------> [large open book icon], the keyboard is locked, can only power off or power reset the computer. Pressing F1 either durung the power up, starting with it pressed before, and hokding it does not change it. Tried doing the same thing by holding down the F1 key then pressing the Return after getting the Lock icon, it delays the processess and seems to start something, activate something, see the underline cursor blinking then blank, after some seconds [still holding the F1 key pressed, to try to enter into the BIOS setup], it still goes to this rectangular box described above, sometimes in the middle of the blank time, that is after the white underline curser disappears, have seen a blue character there in the upper left corner, either a 3 [most common] or a 2, for a moment, maybe a second, then goes to this rectangular box screen. Have also tried a delete key in the sequence, but maybe need some more specific instruction on this. Had seen a post in another forum stating this problem, and a solution that two of the steps outlined in the manual are erroniously stated out of order, but no specifics about the steps. [seems that the answer was given privately to avoid possible theives from getting it, was dated Oct. 27, 2004], and avoided having to replace the system board, as many state including the manual.
Can you be of help to getting access to the EasySetup of the BIOS [which is not easy to get to now]? What are the steps outlined in the manual, and maybe which two are out of order? or at least possibly once having the the steps, could figure out which two might be out of order, or get there by trial and error? This seems to be a problem that has many listings, that have searched over the last few years, and this is the closet have come to a solution yet.
    Thank You

The battery that might be dead is not the main battery. It's the cmos battery, which is a coin cell battery located on the motherborad. It stores the setting in the bios and keeps the date and time accurate. Errors 161 and 163 mean the date and time are wrong. If the cmos battery is dead then, the date and time go back to 1/1/2000 every time the pc is restarted. Thus, you get the "wrong date and time" errors 161 and 163.

cable internet ?? if so then you have a cable modem at your account location , now there are a few different types of cable modems , and you may need your cable provider to help in answering what kind you have , but based on what you stated u want to be able to do , your going to need a device called a router , some cable modems have these built in and some need them added out board to them , but anyway you need a router to be able to do this , after your sure you have a router , then resubmit your question on how to add a device to a router (or your cable provider may do this 4 you ask them!) and myself or one of the others that know how to do this here will then reply with how , we will need the exact model of router you got to be able to do this

My dyson Max 08-21663b WHEN FULLY CHARGED I TURN IT ON AND IT RUNS FOR 5 SECONDS AND GOES OFF AND DOES THE SAME THING REPEATELY I BELIEVE ITS MY BATTERY PACK WHICH IS A 6 CELL CAN YOOU ADVISE ME?

Yes the battery pack would be the most likely culprit here. Go on eBay and buy the correct battery cells and build one using the old one as a guide. This method will save you about 50% over trying to buy a make up replacement if available. This is an easy job, just take your time, buy batteries with solder tabs.

The battery is fully charged, and the ac adapter is plugged into the laptop, when i push the on button the laptop will not start

Remove the battery and power source. Remove the RAM and hdd. Power up with the power supply and it should do something. If it does, replace the RAM and hdd it should now restart. If nothing, check the GPU.

Does it actually have a wireless network adapter? Check the network adapter settings. Does it show both LAN and wireless? If it does you may need to use one of the Function keys to launch the interface to turn on the wireless.

. I suspect that the information you have been given regarding battery removal and passwords refers to removing the cmos battery as in a PC in the hope that it will clear Bios activated passwords.

Bluetooth & sound

Generally, connecting phones via bluetooth to a laptop just allows for file transfer between the two devices. It is not to input sound from the phone through the speakers of the laptop. You would need a bluetooth audio device for that such as bluetooth speakers or headphones

Button keeps blinking

It sounds like it could be either the battery is going bad and not holding a charge or the adapter is. I have had really good luck with similar problems going to places like Batteries +, and large electronic retailers, and my favorite the small local mom and pop computer store; where I end up asking them If I could try one of the adapters from the floor model to eliminate if is a faulty adapter. Other then that I'd if its not out of warranty contact Acers online chat support at http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/service

Removing bluetooth chip

Without knowing what the desktop computer motherboard is, I\'d only be guessing as to location of Wi-Fi chipset.
However even if I knew the motherboard manufacturer name, and model number; the point is Moot.

A) You remove that Wi-Fi chip, and kiss the motherboard goodbye.
It\'s designed into the circuitry of the motherboard.

Isn\'t going to be jumper wires taking it\'s place, and making connections to circuit traces on the motherboard.

B) Do you have a wireless router?
Dunno.
Do you have a wireless connection set up?
No.

You can use just a LAN connection. (Hard wired)

C) Suggest if having a Bluetooth option on your motherboard is not an option then use a different motherboard that doesn\'t have that option.
