I have the Asus M3a32-MVP WiFi deluxe mother board with the AM2 CPU chip. i have 2 Xfx 9800 GTX Sli ready cards for graphics and a Fatality sound card made by creative. I'm running the suggested corsair memory which is 4G 2+2. Every time I try to start the system up I get the warning beeps and in 15 sec it turns off. I tried another memory type and it stayed on but no picture. the memory I tried to run first is from the Dominator series. How can i get my dream machine running. Help please :.(

The problem is your cpu, you need to upgrade to am2+

http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1751&l1=3&l2=149&l3=591&l4=0

Quote memory part of page

"DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ CPU only "

You should get a quad core processor, with a minimum of 3 to 4 gigs of ram, and an asus SLI or crossfire Motherboard. This and a nice 1 terrabite drive can be done for under $500.00, unfoutunatelly, thats just the way they make it. I PLAY cod4, and I run a dual core with 2 gigs of ram and a $300.00 asus MB, with twin 7900 video cards in sli. and it just about runs it, the new games are processor and ram intense, let alone video cards. I would suggest a single card if cost is a factor, you can always add a second or even a third card later. But the you don't want to be the slowest guy playing, especially if you like first person multiplayer shooters

Your existing CPU will not work with that motherboard. The AM2+/AM2 processor slot is for AMD processors only. For this motherboard, you will need one of the following processors: Phenom FX / Phenom / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 X2

Can i use AMD phenom 9850 in m2n-sli deluxe mother board

According to all of my available resource's the processor needs an AM2+ socket but your board has an AM2 socket. So I would contact the manufacturer and ask them just to be safe, but I am sure that the board you have has an AM2 socket for the CPU.

Hope this Helps,

No Beep, No LED Read-out just - -

Sounds like you have pretty much covered about everything. Are you saying that the system works OK, except when you try to get to BIOS, or is it not working at all?

If you are just having trouble getting into BIOS, there is the possibility that something is wrong with the F key that you use to access BIOS. Might try a different keyboard if this is the case.

I know that this is kind of a stretch, but haven't been able to think of anything else, yet.
