It appears that your car is equipped with multiple v-belts, rather than a serpentine belt so there most likely aren't tensioner pullies. Here is some general info that may help.

Alternator To adjust the tension of the alternator drive belt on older models, loosen the pivot and mounting bolts on the alternator. Using a wooden hammer handle, or a broomstick as a prying device, move the alternator one way or the other until the proper tension is achieved. Do not use a screwdriver or any other metal device such as a pry bar, as a lever. Newer models use a tension adjusting bolt. Loosen the pivot bolt and the locking bolt, then turn the tension adjusting bolt until proper tension is achieved. Tighten the bolts securely, run the engine about minute, stop the engine then recheck the belt tension. Air Conditioning Compressor A/C compressor (always use caution when working near the A/C compressor to avoid damaging the refrigerant lines) belt tension can be adjusted by turning the tension adjusting bolt which is located on the compressor tensioner bracket. Turn the bolt clockwise to tighten the belt and counterclockwise to loosen it. Air Pump To adjust the tension of the air pump drive belt, loosen the adjusting lever bolt and the pivot bolt. Move the pump in or out until the desired tension is reached. NOTE: The tension should be checked between the air pump and the crankshaft pulley on cars without air conditioning. On cars with A/C the tension should be checked between the compressor and the crankshaft pulley. Power Steering Pump Tension on the power steering belt is adjusted by means of an idler pulley (some models may use just a lower adjusting bracket setup, similar to the alternator adjustment service procedure). Loosen the lock bolt and turn the adjusting bolt on the idler pulley until the desired tension is felt, then tighten the lock bolt.

How to remove idler pulley on 03 saturn vue V6

If you go to Saturn .com you will be able to locate a link with a parts diagram. This will show you the bolt that holds the idler pulley in place. You first have to put a socket and breaker bar on the pulley to remove the tension, then remove belt from tensioner pulley. Try to keep it from falling off other pulleys. There will be a belt routing diagram under the hood on the front to the left or right of the hood latch. Try using a piece of twine or wire to hold belt in place while changing idler pulley. Then remove idler pulley pivot(mounting bolt). Hope this helps, please post solved on fixya.com. So I get credit for a solved problem if it does. If not, check back and give me more info.

Trying to change alternator on my 2jzge problem I have is trying to loosen the pulley tensioner on the belt I don't want to b committed to removing the bolt completely and then can't get the belt...

Most belt tensioner pulleys are adjusted by loosing of the nut that holds the pulley on the shaft. This then allows you to turn the bolt behind the pulley that pulls or pushes the pulley shaft up or down

I cant get the crankshaft bolt off

They are sometimes installed with threadlock compound which makes it very difficult. How big and powerful was the impact wrench? Is there scope yet to hire a really huge one?

The bump method is a last resort because it puts the flywheel ring gear teeth at some risk. Break one of those and you are up for expense.

Where do i release the tention on the serpent belt so i can put the alternator belt on?

What you are lookin for on the engine is something called an Idler pulley or a belt tensioner pulley. Not being familiar with the configuration of the model you described, if the engine is side mounted the pulley will be on the passenger side under the belt. The belt will actually be wrapped around the tensioner. What you have to find out is which pulley it is. It will be a smaller pulley and the belt will be in contact with this pulley. It has no other use the to cause tension for the belt. Probably a 11-13mm wrench.

Need a diagram for tensioner/idler pulley assembly for 92 chrysler new yorker 3.3L

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
3.3L AND 3.8L ENGINES-SERPENTINE BELT

See Figure 12
The Poly-V drive belt is provided with a dynamic tensioner to maintain proper belt tension. To remove or install this belt:
  1. Raise the front of the vehicle and safely support on jackstands.
  2. Remove the right front splash shield.
  3. Release tension of the belt by rotating the tensioner assembly clockwise.
  4. While holding the tensioner in the rotated position, remove the belt from the various pulleys-make sure to note the route that the belt takes before removal.
  5. To install the belt, route it through the various pulleys except for the tensioner pulley. Once the belt is satisfactorily mounted on the pulleys, rotate the tensioner clockwise and slide the belt onto the tensioner pulley. Make certain that the belt is mounted so that the grooves in the belt are correctly aligned with the grooves in the pulleys.

Fig. Fig. 12: To remove the serpentine belt from the 3.3L and 3.8L engines, rotate the tensioner assembly clockwise

  1. Install the right front splash shield to the underside of the vehicle.
  2. Lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  3. Start the engine and allow to idle for a few minutes. Shut the engine off and double check the placement of the belt on the pulleys.

Can anybody tell me why elantra keeps popping up when i need a manual for a lantra 1600 is there a manual that matches this from another model

I found the best way is to take the idle pulley off first then with a little effort you can slide it over the cam pulley. Then reinstall the belt tensioner/ idler pulley and adjust. Do not over tension the belt .

Tensioner Pulley

LET CAR BE COOL YOU WILL NEED ANEW BELT, OF COURSE. TOOLS: APPROPIATE CUBES AND RATCHED SET. AND AN ADDAPTOR TO FIX RATHED TO THE SQUARE HOLE IN TENSIONER PULLEY. REMOVE UPPER SIDE OF FAN COVER (YOU WILL CHECK PRINTED INFORMATION ON IT TO ORIENT YOU ON THE BELT CORRECT POSITION) RETIRE REST OF THE OLD BELT PLACE THE NEW BRLT ON POSITION AND PLACE THE RATCHED WITH THE ADAPTOR IN THE SQUARE HOLE IN SUCH WAY YOU CAN PULL THE PULLEY WHILE THE BELT IS TAKED TO ITS POSITION. GENTLY RELEASE THE PULLEY AND CHECK BELT IS ALLIGNED IN ALL THE PULLEYS. REMOVE TOOLS AND START ENGEINE. CHECK BELT DOESN'T MAKE STRANGES NOISES OR MOVEMENTS. TURN OFF ENGINE, PLACE THE UPPER SIDE OF THE FAN COVER AGAIN
