the sound on my tv works, i can flip thru all the channels and put in dvds and hear the sound but i cannot see anything. It's just a plain black screen. Wat do i do?

I have the same problem with an RCA 22" flatscreen. Just got it, connected the cable, plugged it in and turned it on . . . I get sound, but no picture. Tried unplugging and all the buttons on the remote. I don't have a cable box, but that shouldn't be an issue.
Suggest a new solution for this problem
