Like many other consumers my toshiba 43h71 has a blue shadow on the bottom portion of the screen. Is there a way to fix it and if so how. Or is it better to purchase a new tv.

- I have a blue ghostlike wave at the bottom of my TV that just appeared...does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to get it fixed? I hate to get rid of it, I havent had it THAT long and just cant justify dropping another $1K to get another one. Please help! :( - onejnptx

- blue shadow at top and bottom...lettering is doubled and the whole picture is out of focus.this is a new problem,earlier a green screen was fixed by unplugging the tv and not using it for several months.Happened to turn it on and no more green.Is it true that they have to be de-magnitized?- deb53

A qualified tech should replace both STK392-110 convergence IC's with Toshiba or Sanyo brand.............T.
