Question about HP RADEON X300 SE, (128 MB) PCI Express Graphic Card
Running Windows XP with ATI Radeon X300 128Mb PCI card. Screen OK up to log on screen. When you log on screen goes black. No image on a restart. But when you reboot into safe mode screen image is fine.
I tried uninstalling the ATI drivers, screen fine with Windows XP drivers, but the Found new hardware wizard keeps appearing.
Please can you help?
This problem occurs when your video card was OVER HEAT.
Im sure you used your computer ALL DAY LONG.
things that you can do:
* make sure that the FAN of your video card is working.
--> in starting up your PC the fan should have been working.
*RE INSTALL the card driver
--> un install the current card driver first. then re install it again.
* if re installing the driver doesn't worked, the LAST thing to fix this is to REPAIR XP.
above are the only steps fixing this kind of problem...

You must uninstall your previous video card drivers before installing the new card, especially if they were nVidia drivers.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
