Hooking up an MP3 to Alpine CDA-9805 head unit

posted by costaboy on Jul 23, 2008

I've hooked up auxilary cables to the back of my CDA-9805 head unit, so I can plug my ipod in and play whats on it through the car stereo. The idea is to play my ipod (MP3 player) through the CDA-9805 head unit.
PROBLEM: The Alpine CDA-9805 only has 2 modes, Radio and CD. Because of this, I'm unable to play music off my ipod (MP3 player) through my car stereo. I could always spend hours burning 100s and 100s of CDs... But who wants to do that?
There must be an alternative way to hook it up, right?
Thank you.
