Monitor

posted by bamagal1959 on Jul 23, 2008

I have a 17 inch lcd monitor from hp that will not turn on. Awhile back we had a storm knock out power and the next time we used the pc the monitor would not come on so we bought a new one ,figured it was fried but later I tried it and it came on so I hooked it to another pc now every time our power goes off the monitor will not come on. I found out that if you hold the menu button for a few seconds and then the power button it sometimes comes on and other times it has to sit around for a few days before it decides to come on. Is this something I can have fixed or would it be cheaper to just buy a new one for my pc. Every time it does this I have to switch back to my old monitor that came with the pc, which is one of the huge monstrosities with small screen.
