Make sure the antenna is up and not broken, some of these have the power antenna and some dont, if the antenna is up then you will need to check the cable that connects to back off the radio but i doubt thats the problem unless someone was working in that area of the dash, the most common problem is the antenna is broken or not up. good luck.

2013 Santa Fe Sport radio on am 670 cuts out and back in with varied times off. If I toggle to the next station and back it is there right away. The station does not have a problem on my other car. This is...

cuts out ?
well, all FM radios cut out for.:
1: weak station.
2: stereo can not be held in properly( can be bypassed on most RAD , pick mono)
3: AGC drop out, same as #1

on better radios (RTM) you can defeat these default features.
set the FM to mono channel mode, and now you hear all stations.
also kill the AGC mode. this allows you to hear
the station. and static or both. like a Marconi radio of days of old.
modern radios are programmed to blank weak stations.
tis a fact. im a tech and tuned these features, for 50 years.

ok the fix,
1: move closer to station
2: get a better antenna (vast choices)
3: go to station and turn the gain knob up and get arrested by FCC.

Installing a new Sony radio/ cd player. Several post reference an internal "antenna booster" but cannot find anything about which wires to supply power to this booster. Please help, can't get...

here is some free advice, antenna boosters simply amplify the radio signal AND the static so there is no increase in sound quality, plus they pick up all that nice spark plug noise. the upshot is that if you spend money to buy one you will find yourself taking it back out and tossing it or pawning it off on some ****** via eBay.
