Can i alter oil flow to chaimac 436 - McCulloch 16 Inch Gas Chain Saw MCC1635AK

depends on where the dent is and how deep
bad dents can restrict oil flow to the pump because
it blocks off the pick up for the oil pump
breaks the pick up tube at the pump connection allowing for air into the lubrication process
alters the correct oil level on the dip stick making for less oil in use
it the sump is of pressed metal construction , it can be hammered back into shape BUT the major problem here is that it also deforms the sealing edge of the sump and oil leakage from the gasket will be a problem
With so many engines in the wreckers /junk yards a replacement undamaged sump is the best option

The carb need reset but most likely the diaphragm in carb is bad it's common it gets gummed up with oil realy grease at this point because the gas evape out of the oil especially when the mixture is left in the saw and stored turn oil to goo

Pretty common to model, there was a latter oil pick up hose to stop it kinking part no, 537261402, and a latter filter which was more open part no. 505315181, it is possible to alter the throw of the pump by increaseing the angle on the back of the pump shaft, however this is not so easy you have to grind the shaft, it is easy to over do it and icrease the flow too much.

If the faders are not SERVO driven they should not be rough. Sometimes they have slot sealing plastic covering the groove of the slider that may give some drag. As to the fan, the unit looks like it has a small fan which tend to be noisier than larger ones. Some fans are throttled by sensing temperature. Make sure the air flow is free and not occluded by cables or cabinetry.

The caller Id service is a paid extra. If you have a caller ID phone, and are not a subscriber to the service it will not do you any good.

I'm not certain there is a workshop manual.

some of these units actually just do that normally. you can always try requesting another unit, or buying a better one, unless you're really just tired of the inconvienience. these are kind of cheap anyways, and when it comes to electronics, you get what you pay for. hope this helps :)
