Advent 7203 power problem - PC Desktops

    the laptop was in perfect working order, switched on , and suddently shut down itself, it does not poer up, the charger light is blinking when conected, and on when unplugged.

    exact same model and problem--tried a few higher wattage psu's-eliminated the following:-battety,memory,cpu fan,wireless card,hard disk,screen,inverter,switch panel,cd drive,keyboard and touch pad--no joy!

Try useing the more powerfull charger ie the 19v 4.74 amp insteed of the 19v 3.42 amp
this worked for me

By pressing DEL can you enter the BIOS setup screen? If so, can you see the hard drive designated? It is usually in the initial screen where it lists all recognized peripherals, including your DVD drive and (hopefully) your hard drive.

Sorry to hear you're having that problem, Karen. I was unable to find the model # that you posted, but I DID find something for an M312 wireless mouse made by Advent:

If you look at the response to this issue, it lists everything I would've typed in here to suggest trying. Two pcs running vista home edition wired to router ok. laptop wireless ok. advent pc running windows xp wireless cannot see belkin router but can see outher router in my area. router is a belkin N wireless...


Check the router settings, if the router is set to only use 802.11N wireless it won't pick up a computer that is using 802.11G or 802.11B wireless.

I have an Advent bluetooth adaptor that will not work with my mobile phone


I have an advent bluetooth adapter which ive never bothered with, now I come to play with it, the pc is asking me for a passkey before it continues, Ive no idea what it is or where I get it from any ideas ?????

Yes, you may have a faulty MOBO, time to replace it.
it is suppose to sustain power and voltage. other that this, is a fault.

I bought an advent 7203 pc model number eaa-89 in january this year and whilst using it the other night the screen went black so i thought the battery was flat and put it on charge when i tried to switch...


dont buy advent total **** buy a 2nd hand dell better value less chance of breaking honestly i had two advents both **** one when i lifted the hard disc stopped! cheap **** now i have a shiny dell xps 1 year old warranty extend option if you want build quality night and day im also sitting with a busted 7093 yeah advent boards just burn out nasty cheap conning mothers**
