If this vehicle is an automatic then you use a funnel and it goes down the dipstic ,now later models do not have a dipstick so on the front of the gearbox low down is a push on bung type plug and if its this type then start engine and fill to the top .
If it is automatic it is the same tube that you check it in. it can be a *****, and remember to check atf with the engine running and at operating temp.

Should go into the Same Hole that the Dipstick comes out of. You are gonna need a Funnel to accomplish this.

This is a ''filled for life box'' there is no recognised user fill point. But at 2-0-clock looking from the rear of the gearbox is a fill/inspection plug for jaguar service use only, I believe there is a secondary screw in the middle of this plug which is the fluid level. I have never checked this plug for level so proceed with caution.
Why do you need to check level ?

I just did the same thing, I had to remove the air box to get to the reverse switch on the transaxle. I removed the switch and filled the fuild there.

on most cars that i have serviced the trans. if the trans has a dipstick tube. you can fill it from there. look for a plug that has a square hole (like a 1/2" ratchet would fit into) or the plug maybe a square head or even a bolt shaped plug. the drain could be on the side of the trans or the bottom. get yourself a Haynes manual #87020 at your local auto parts store or online
SOURCE: location of drain plug and drain fill for
the drain plug and fill plug are on the drivers side right next to the subframe, the fill plug is back and above the left axle ,i get it from the drivers side with the wheel off and the drain plug you get from under the car ,,thats a tight one i actaully had to cut a allen wrench down to fit inbetween the trans and axle and its tight both to get the wrench in and realy tight to loosen use a breaker bar,,,,the fill plug is also tight,,,
