Question about Memory Cards & USB Flash Drives

1 Answer

Verbatim DVD-RAM Dear Sirs I have about 40 Verbatim DVD-RAM which I use to transport movies when we go to our summer residence. They are all working OK. I have just purchased 6 DVD-RAM for the same purpose from Nierle Media AG and find that our Panasonic DVD recorder/player cannor recognise the new disks. Nierle has recommended to consult you. The disks cannot be formattet. The new disks are marked: Verbatim DVD-RAM 4.7 GB 3 X speed 120 Best regards Leif Thomsen Springhorn@hotmail.com

I think maybe ya machine has a preference for certain DVD's. I would suggest that ya try to obtain EXACTLY the same ones that you used B4 that worked, check the numbers on the old ones.. it is possible that the dye layers arn't to it's liking, even tho they seem same they may not be.. Also I believe ya can get Pre-formatted discs have ya explored this option. In fact try another few sorts of dvds altogether and see if they/it works then buy more... GL

You don't format CD-RWs or DVD-RWs. Just burn data to them.

You shouldn't need software, just make sure it is a DVD drive and not CD only.

Can movie be burn in cd-rw??

A cd-rw would normally hold 500MB of data. A normal movie would need about 3-4 GB of data. You get programs that would save the movie on CD-RW as a VCD with compression to fit in lesser number of CDs. But you will not find many players that would play the cd-rw with the VCD format movie.

Best to use the DVD discs.

Need Win98 Driver

Hello Mike

I had the same problem. I found the drive for (Win98SE) I needed on the Verbatim europe site, hope this works for you. Note: make sure you take note of which serial number you have, it is in very small writting on the side of the stick.

those kinda players wont play DVD rom disks and certain ones that are made up. DVD-RAM or ROM wont work. Try blowing inside the player for any dust. if it still doesnt work its the maufacters problem. The player will play CD-G audio only, not graphics The ability to play back DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-Jpeg discs may depend on recording conditions.
