Generic problem for all Removable Media

Verbatim DVD-RAM

posted by leif22 on Jul 23, 2008

Dear Sirs

I have about 40 Verbatim DVD-RAM which I use to transport movies when we go to our summer residence. They are all working OK.

I have just purchased 6 DVD-RAM for the same purpose from Nierle Media AG and find that our Panasonic DVD recorder/player cannor recognise the new disks. Nierle has recommended to consult you. The disks cannot be formattet.

The new disks are marked:

Verbatim

DVD-RAM 4.7 GB
3 X speed
120

Best regards Leif Thomsen

I think maybe ya machine has a preference for certain DVD's. I would suggest that ya try to obtain EXACTLY the same ones that you used B4 that worked, check the numbers on the old ones.. it is possible that the dye layers arn't to it's liking, even tho they seem same they may not be.. Also I believe ya can get Pre-formatted discs have ya explored this option. In fact try another few sorts of dvds altogether and see if they/it works then buy more... GL
