Uninstall the drivers for the wireless card then run windows live update the wireless card should be found and the drivers should d-load and then install themselves if that doesn't work try resetting your router or modem for the internet... sometimes certain computers in a house will receive a signal, and you might get the signal as well but the computers are messing around with the wireless... this happens more with belkin routers just restart the router and just run that one computer on the wireless network and it should start working. then you can allow all the other computers back onto the network

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox)
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.

Cannot connect to admin interface of Netgear RP114 router

The default is
username: admin
password: password or (for older routers) 1234

If this didn't work try to reset the router. Here's how;
a. Please push the reset button at the back of the router and release after 30 seconds.
b. Unplug the power adapter for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

Then Configure the router;
1. Check physical connections.

a. Connect the modem to the Internet port of the router. The Internet “i” LED on the front of the router should light up.
b. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports (i.e port 1, 2, 3 or 4) on the back of the router. The corresponding port light where you connected the computer should be lit up.

2. Access the router's web-based utility.

a. Please open any web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
b. Connect to the router by typing http://routerlogin.com/basicsetting.htm or http://192.168.0.1 in the address field and click Enter or Return key.
c. A window will prompt for a user name and password. By default, the user name is "admin" and the password is "password" or ( for older routers) "1234".

If your Internet Service Provider is using a cable connection, please follow the steps below:

a. Click on Basic Settings under Setup tab.
b. Select No for Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?.
c. Scroll down on the center page and look for the Router MAC Address section. Set it to Use computer MAC address and click on the Apply button.

If your Internet Service Provider is using a DSL connection, please follow the steps below:

a. Click on Basic Settings.
b. Select Yes for Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?.
c. Select Other on the Internet Service Provider drop down box.
d. Enter your ISP's username (username@ISPdomain) and password. Then, click on Apply.

Network my desktop with my laptop

Internet -> Port 1 or 16 ComputerA -> Port 2 ComputerB -> Port 3
I say port 1 or 16 because on older equipment there is an uplink port that is usually either the lowest or highest port number depending on the manufacturer. Set both computers IP addresses to use DHCP in this scenario. If you aren't connecting to the internet, both computers need to have their ip address set manually to a number in the same "neighborhood" (i.e. set A to 192.168.1.2 and set B to 192.168.1.3), then they will see each other.

Having problems with my audio and internet browsers and acer e recovery on my acer laptop " aspire 3610"

1) Reinstall the sound drivers
2) IE, click tools, internet options, connections, LAN settings, auto detect settings
Firefox, tools, options, advanced, network, settings, direct connection to the internet.
~ If both are still not working, trying reinstalling each one.

3) As for the e-recovery error. I have heard that dell and sony vaios can go threw the recovery mode in the bios. Try hitting f10 when the computer is starting up. If you're still having problems with the e-recovery console contact acer and let them know about the problem you are encountering. You can always ask them for the recovery disks.

Password problems

hi, well there is a lot of missing information but assuming certain things i will try to help:

first thing i assume is that you have disabled the option of allowing time for connections in the routers configuration. This option can take different names but the most common is: either iddle time or schedule... where you choose the moments (hours and days) that the router should provide connection to Internet. This option should be off cuz its for very punctual restriction matters.

second thing i will assume is that both OSs are running 100% free of problems, otherwise the problem could come from them and... this would be useless...

here are my firts advices.
1. Get rid of VISTA at least for this and the next year... all OSs have many problems when they arrive, specially those of microsoft that uses users to make the testing duties and collects information for free.

2. NEVER use firewall nor any security stuff from any windows... just buy a good antivirus and let it run! Kaspersky is my advise, just arround 35 dollars a year!
So first DISABLE all Firewalls from your laptops and get a good antivirus. If you install Kaspersky you will have to enable or "allow" the connection to enter cuz the AV will ask you for that normally with a message that gives you the option "add to trusted zone" and "trusted network" for connectivity and tasks in general.

NOTE: Upgrading WindowsXP is useless if you have a good updated AV and you are careful with what you do over the Internet. Just Service Pack 2 for XP will be enough at least for now year 2008.

Belkin is not the best option, SMC, LINKSYS, 3COM would be better but if you do not wish to buy nothing new just restart (reset router configuration), let the wizard take you foward, let the router by default and if you want do avoid people to stealt your network just find your MAC adresses and configure the router for giving access just to your computers and no one else. Figure out a hard password and you will be safe. Try changing routers IP too... just choose something not so common (NOT: 192.168.1.1)...

to find your mac adresses... just go START, RUN and write CMD and in the console write ipconfig /all ... that 00.88.B8-35.F3 like number is the MAC... Laptops use to bring 2 LANS so take note of the wireless one`s mac.

almost all routers from this years have the option as "assign static DHCP. Thats all, forget about WEP and that stuff, that was ment for groups, professionals, not necessary for home users... And better! if you set static connections by MAC and just limit the DHCP server to (2 machines in your case), people will be able to see your wireless but never to connect to it unless the hack into. Good luck and let me know if you need more help please.

Netscape navigator`

Note that support and development of the Netscape Navigator stopped a few years ago, i.e., it is "dead" software. It would be wise to download and install some other web-browser, such as FireFox, or Google Chrome, or Apple Safari, if you don't want to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser.
