when i go to switch the tv off standby it will not come on or stays on for a couple of seconds then goes back into standby
any ideas?

problem is with power board, it seems a problem that is endemic to these sets, you can sometimes manage to reset by unplugging set for 30 mins repowering and sometimes it will come back on otherwise look at replacing board
