Question about Microwave Ovens
My combi microwave oven keeps going dead/no power - it is approx 3 yrs old and has worked fine until this year, it keeps going dead a few seconds into its microwave cycle (too quickly for overheating etc) It is built in but well ventilated and we use the correct containers etc.
Neff repair guy has looked at it 4 times and replaced operating module, power module, door switches -no good. When he was testing it last time and he fitted the new power module , switching it on caused a burn out on the relay board ( big bang, smoke etc!!) He has spoken to his superior on the phone who has no further suggestions.
We have had NEFF repair man out again and he replaced the door switchs and this time it is OK.He did say if it was a problem again it will be classed as unrepairable because he thinks it is shorting out on an internal rivet on the bodywork which is inaccesable. fingers crossed it was the door switchs and it dosent blow the main fuse again .thanks for your responce. Simon.
