the ice maker does not make ice. The water does not appear to be frozen in the line.

Same problem here. I checked the coils, and all seems to be fine. When I open the freezer door, the LED on the right side blinks twice, then continues to blink twice in a cycle. When I push on the tab on the left side, the LED on the right does nothing but continue to blink twice in a cycle. Does this mean that the emitter on the left has gone out? What should the LED on the right do when the tab on the left is pushed in?

Just had our repaired for 3rd time in 3 years. Plastic gears on left side are the culprit. On strips and the other breaks.

The first symptom of dirty condenser coils is that the ice maker stops getting to zero degrees. (That's what it requires to kick the ice out.) The first thing to check is dirt and dust bunnies on the hot coils.

Put a stick type thermometer in a stick of butter or a pint of ice cream and wait a day to see if the freezer is set getting to zero F.

The lights are controlled by door switches and a small circuit board near the compressor=> W10135090 Main Control Board

The control board is quite expensive and if you know someone that can replace circuit board parts it would really pay to have them replace a defective relay, Thanks Sea Breeze

Ice cube stuck in the ice maker of a RCA Model GD5RHAXNQ00. How can I remove the icemaker?

The ice maker hangs on the wall with three screws. two at the top and one at the bottom. Just loosen these screws and the ice maker will lift off the bracket and you can then reach the wiring harness to unplug it. Here's a DIAGRAM.

Could you double check your model number. I am unableto pull that model number up. You mentioned that your ice makehas stoppedworking. This could be several things, like water control valve, defective ice maker, defective ice maker thermostat and more. Let me know,Thanks, SeaBreeze b8e6bdd.jpgWHIRLPOOL PRODUCT MANUALS

Whirlpool Gold GD5RHAXNQ00 refrigerator not cooling properly.

It takes time for the temp to adjust(up to 24hrs) If the door is open a lot(looking into the box) or the door gasket is bad this will contribute to your problem. Are you sure the thermometer is good that you are checking the machine with. The thermistor could be bad as well(the control that senses the actual temp

Couple of reasons
a) Excess humidity in the refrigerator due uncovered food items.
B) freezer door not closing fully( look for any visible damage or hardness of the seal. The seal is made of multiple layers so even a few cracked edges will cause leakage.
c) the returning air if not circulated properly by blower which also gas a heating coil for humidification could have failed causing formation of ice.................sodeep

Ice maker will not dispense the ice

When you press the lever to dispense the ice, there are multiple switches being activated. Chances are, the one that moves the motor to turn out the ice is bad. Or that motor itself is bad.

Ice machine makes ice but doesn't dispense when the lever is pres

I would check for an electric "flap" that opens & closes when ice lever is depressed. My GE has one and it has been fouled before causing the ice to be stuck inside the door. Hope this helps!

Whirlpool GD5RHAXNQ00 Ice maker not making ice

We had a similar problem and there was a broken/stripped gear in the icemaker. A&E replaced it to the tune of $150 or so. I don't recall exactly but I recall my husband thinking he could replace the entire icemaker for the price we paid to repair it. The gear make the ice tray flip out the ice once frozen. Good luck, hope that helps a little.
