I have a Panasonic HMTA1 Camcorder and it installed HD Writer PE 1.0 onto my computer. I am able to unload all my videos and photos from the camcorder to my computer, but now my hard drive is getting full...

The files are just MP4 video, or JPG, images. There's no 'export' needed.

Not sure about 'cleanly', I used copy/paste. Please explain.

As far as the software goes, you can obtain the full version software from Panasonic, but I see no reason why you would want to.

I have a camcorder Panasonic SDR-T55 and want to copy my pictures from built in memory into sd card but I don't know . Please help

You may not have that option. Most camcorders give you the option to either record to the built in memory or the SD card Flash Memory. The option to copy from the internal to SD card is device option. You can use USB, AV , cables to convert files to DVD or other formats to copy to Flash Media or DVD/ VCD/DVD RAM.Good Luck.

HD writer will not write to disc

I just used HDWriter today to copy a film I took from a new Panasonic HDC-HS250K to DVD. It took about 30 minutes to complete, and the movie was only 1 Gb; about 5-10 minutes of HD. I used a Memorex DVD+R that I happen to have from a couple years ago. The video looks very good played back on my PC or HD TV using a regular DVD player (not blue ray). I don't happen to have any other DVD except for the 2 sided which I hate to use for the short videos. So in looking to buy some more I'm concerned that DVD-R might not work so well. I've read some conflicting reviews about that. Anyway just wanted to let you know that the DVD+R worked fine.

Unable to use Easy Editing function on HD Writer 2.0E for sx/sd

Hi,

Did have the same problem. If you have copied (backuped) the files to your harddrive, you must have twice the amount of free space available (working-area) on your HD to be able to edit the videos with the panasonic software. Default the workarea is c:\ (choose settings in main menu --> HDD Settings --> Select working area) After changing it to the d-drive (80 gb available) i didn't get the message and could working again with the video's!

Conversion from AVCHD to MPGEG with Panasonic HD WRITER

The video formats that your Panasonic HD-SD5 produces is AVCHD format, you you can choose an AVCHD video converter to help you to convert AVCHD to MPEG.
The most easiest and fastest video converter i ever used is Aunsoft MTS Converter which can hel you to convert MTS video files to almost any video format you need.

If your want to join your sapareted video files into one, this software can give you a hand due to its function of merjing video files into one.

Hd writer 2.0E fro sx/sd

I had this same issue...I bet you're using DVD-R, am I correct?

Apparently you can't copy video from DVD-R to the HD Writer. Period. Just can't do it. (Would be nice if they mentioned this in the manual.)

You can only use DVD-RW and must format the disc to VR format, not Video format.

I'm using a program called Handbrake (free) which I think can convert your .vob files (from the Video_TS folder on your DVD) to quicktime files, or similar, so that you can actually do something with the video...

Best of luck, I'm really no expert, and I probably won't return to this page, so a reply to me is likely not going to be read by me...
