Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse

Logitech cordless laser mouse

The mouse just stopped working.  have reset, unplugged and plugged in again. doesn't have batteries that i can see. all the green lights are on when i set it in the cradle. thanks

    So...are you convinced you didn't just run it out of juice and have to wait for it to recharge, or are you also convinced that the built-in rechargeable battery isn't yet at the end of its life?

  1. If there is a "connect" button on the part tha conects to your PC press it.
  2. if there is an on/off switch on your mouse set it to off then after a pause to on.

Try unpluging mouse sensor from usb port.

Shut down pc.Start up pc.

Plug mouse sensor back into usb port.

Windows should reinstall hardware automaticly.

If not reinstall drivers for it.

Mx3200 keyboard stoped typing


Unplug the USB (or PS/2) plug for a couple of seconds and reconnect them. That worked for me when this happened on my older Logitech keyboard.

Mouse does connect but keyboard does not, vice versa


reinstall the logitech cd which came with keyboard and mouse, with the mouse pluged in. once reinstalled restart and while restart plug the keyboard in..... this should resolve the issue.

Problem with Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse

However, usually, aside from being dead, their are two good
things to try before despair:
  1. You should disconnect the mouse and try blowing and perhaps wiping the area where the laser is as it may be that the laser is being blocked and therefore cannot function [be careful not to actually touch the laser itself and to not use materials that leave lint!] A cloth for glasses would be an ideal item, 2nd to compressed air.
  2. You can try the all-out start again tactic: Remove the base unit (part plugged in) and remove the batteries. Now reboot your computer. Assuming you have Windows, after rebooting, plug the USB part of the mouse back into the computer, and reload good batteries. If you have not received a message from Windows yet, look for an 'association button', which is what you press either on the base, the mouse, or both at the same time. With many models (you didn't specify) you have to go through this 'Holding Down of The Button(s) so that the mouse and the wireless base will recognize each other

So, to review basically, you want to try and clear away and particles or build up from the view of the laser (on the bottom of the mouse)
And/or you will unplug the USB base and remove batteries, reboot (let Windows fully load) - replace the base and the batteries to the mouse, and finally if no recognition, look for a button somewhere on both the base and the mouse and hold it down for a good few seconds.

If you still have no joy, please post back here with model and a more specific detail of how it stopped working.

Logitech cordless mouse and keyboard installation


You probably already done this but try pressing the receiver button and while it is flashing turn the board over and press the small reset/connect button on the bottom of the board and also the reset/connect button on the bottom of the mouse. It should work okay after that. here is hoping that helps. Bud
