If you don't want to replace the color cartridges, you can fool the printer instead. Sensors in the printer shine light through a thin area on the cartridges. The empty (or even just low, even though there may be plenty of ink still inside) cartridges allow the light to get through, the printer sees the empty cartridges, and it won't print anymore. You can cover this part of the cartridge with a piece of black electrical tape to block the light. Voila! No light gets through and the printer thinks you have full cartridges again. This site has pictures showing where to put the tape. I've used this trick on the printer we have here in our office and it works great.

Why when press color copy the non color not print are not being printed

If your question means that you are not getting "nice" color copy ... it may be possible that your (color) ink is running low or empty. For instance, if your black ink is low or empty, you will not get the black colors printed ...
So, check to see if your ink cartridges are running low or empty. And if so, see if a (new) replacement cartridge will give you the same result.

I have a all in one color LC61 printer, do all colors have to be filled to print blk only?

Greyscale is color not black only.
You can print in black and it will look grayscale only darker, printers are a pain to work with after a year has gone by, I can expect almost a half hour to print something with my $400 epson because one of the colors is out even though I never printed in the last year a colored page. I take the color cartirges out and they are empty, but I only print a page 2-3 times a year. I use the scanner all the time. Brother and epson have their print heads in the printer not the cartridge so make sure your inks are always have something in it or it will be miricle for the printer to last more than a year. Check colors every other week. One Epson printer only lasted 3 months because I never used it(print head dried up). Never use the set up with tubes running outside printer to small tanks of ink if you only use it occationally.

Black ink 0n LC61 PRINTER HEAD

most likely the printhead needs replacing, it is possible that it might be covered under warranty, call brother and check.

also make sure you have black ink in the cartridge and if you did only 1 cleaning, you may need to do 3 or 4 to see if its better, ink has to flow through the tubes.

My cannon mp258 cannot print, message show that ink to slow, and the ink indicator appear the Colored ink is almost empty .and also i try to photo copy black and white document but i cannot photo copy even...

Yes. You cannot use the printer even in black and white, until the color cartridge is replaced. They are designed to check the levels of the both black and color cartridges.

My brothers mfc 240c printer wont print because one ink is not full but it has black

You need to have ink in all cartridges to print. You can put a small electrical tape over the little window on the cartridge to print with empty inks, but you risk an air bubble in the ink tubes. If you don't care about printing color at some time, just cover the window on empty carts.

Brothers Printers ink cartridges

I have the same problem. I just discovered that if I turn OFF the power before I open the cover to check a cartridge it does not ask me if I just replaced it. I hope it was not just a fluke, otherwise I'll try unplugging the power next time, too. As for the "Can't print with an empty cartridge" problem; IE: Red is empty but you want to print with black; it is either that engineers don't know what they are doing at Brother or they are lazy or the managers are GREEDY. I think it is the last one. That is why I try NOT to buy "Genuine" Brother Ink cartridges. I used to refill them myself when I could find the ink, now I buy 3rd party cartridges. I pay $6.00 each for black and $7 each for color at a "Toner / Ink" shop about 1/2 mile from my office.

Brother MFC-420CN color ink empty but want to print/copy in B&W

brother won't print od do anything is one of the 4 inks are empty so first of all you have to replace whatever is empty, when you remove it it will ask you if you changed it and if it is a new one you will press 1 twice per cartridge, if you put compatible ink in you will clog the ink head up and then be stuffed
