Duck tape it shut, or wrap a thick rubberband (the type they us on brocolli in the produce section) around it to hould it shut. Otherwise you are going to have to spend money.

Can the battery case cover of an Olympus SP550 uz be easily obtained & easily replaced?

The cover on the camera is cracked or the battery case is cracked. If it is the battery that is cracked replace it immediately. If its the camera attachment that is cracked Gorilla Tape works wonders :)

DO NOT USE THE PHONE IF THE BATTERY CASE IS CRACKED!

Where to buy the least expensive Pentax K1000 battery cover?

There are two different models of K1000 cameras. The old model uses three screws to hold the bottom cover, and you can get the battery cover from http://uscamera.com/23704-0-a403.htm

The new model uses five screws to hold the bottom cover, and you can get the battery cover from

How do you replace the battery cover on the kodak easyshare c190?

Hello,

I believe the casing of the camera has to be opened to allow the cover to be put in place.

You do that by unscrewing all the screws off the case and then notice where the front and back parts of the camera attach to each other. There is generally a visible line or crack there, use your fingernail or a plastic tool to go around the casing to release the plastic clips that hold the casing together.

you don't have to take the camera apart all the way, just enough that you get to the cover.

If you need further assistance let me know.
Thanks,
Ekse

The battery door on my hp photosmart M525 cracked and will not stay shut, therefore batteries fall out. I used a piece of tape keep the door shut, but it is a nice camera and I want it to work the way it...

Okay, from what you are saying its the weight of the battery that makes the battery cover fall of so i would apply a little, emphasis on little bit of glue before i put in the battery to hold the battery in place so the battery stays in even when the cover is not in place, then find a more stylish way of keeping the cover in place, maybe A LITTLE glue to the ridges that the cover slides on will be enough, you wont have any problem prying both lose when you have to, A LITTLE, lol , Hope this helps..

Same problem

How long have you had the camera? If it's less than a year old, then it's under manufacturer's warranty and they need to take it back because there was no customer abuse involved to find it broken...
If it's more than a year old and you have no other warranties on it.. then I'm sorry to say that you might just need to try to fasten something yourself... keep in mind that the only function of that door is to hold the batteries in and to conduct electricity between the batteries... so if you put something there that is also conductive.. then it should be able to work fine.
Just be careful... electricity is sketchy to work with

Digital camera screen broken

A cracked screen will cost you, but maybe not as much as you think. Instead of replacing the whole , you can spend about $300 and replace the screen yourself. All you need is a small screwdriver.

1)Turn off the power to your screen and unplug all cables connected to it.
2)Remove the battery, if one is installed.
3)Locate the covered screws around the cracked screen. Remove the rubber/plastic covers, then unscrew the screws.
4)Gently remove the plastic frame around the cracked screen and set it aside.
5)Disconnect any power cords or cables going into the LCD screen.
6)Remove the cracked screen and slide the new screen into place. Replace any tape or plastic fasteners that hold it in place.
7)Reconnect all internal cords to the screen.
8)Screw in the frame and replace all the screw covers.
9)Reconnect the power supply and all external cables to the LCD screen and switch it on.

Cracked screen

Hello Mari,
The products standard guarranty doesn't cover cracked screens. You have to replace it. Otherwise the black spot will grow and cover all the screen.
You can find a replacement screen for Casio Exilim Z80 in this link:

http://www.pantallas.biz/epages/wwwpantallasbiz.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/160419/Products/%22Casio%20Z20%20Z80%22

It is not difficult to install. Just make sure that the battery is removed and the flash capacitor discharged before opening the screen.

Cx7330, battery cover BROKEN

Remove batteries and memcard. Remove 8 screws, the screws on the bottom are smaller than the side screws. Rear cover will slide off, watch out for loose LCD screen. Two protruding slots on the bottom hold the battery cover hinges. Hold battery cover wide open and at an angle to snap hinges into place. Reinstall rear cover and screws.
