3 red lights in a ring....

Send it back to Microsoft for repair or replacement. They'll even send you a box to send it to them in. If you bought it within the lasy 3 years, it should still be under warranty, as Microsoft has extended the 1 year to 3 years for the "ring of death".

Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX for support, or go to
https://service.xbox.com/servicehome.aspx?scrx=1

You'll have to register first.

Could you please tel me what address i should send my XBOX 360.,because it has the ring of death. Also how long will it take to fix and how much.

Hi.

Where you send the Xbox 360 would depend on where you are in the world so you would have to contact Xbox support by clicking the blue link below. As for the cost you would have to check this with Xbox themselves as most ring of death repairs are carried out FREE.

It should take no longer than 6 weeks for the console to be returned to you. Microsoft will tell you just to send the console in and remove the hard drive and any memory cards.

How to setup two wireless controlers to an xbox

  1. Press and hold the Xbox Guide button until the controller turns on. The Xbox Guide button is the round button with the green "X" near the center of the controller.
  2. Make sure that your Xbox 360 console is turned on. If your Xbox 360 console is not turned on, press the power button. The power button is the large round button on your Xbox 360 console.
  3. On the Xbox 360 console, press and release the Connect button. The Connect button is the small round button on the Xbox 360 console.
  4. On the controller, press and release the Connect button. The Connect button is the small button on the front edge of the controller, between the left bumper button and the charging port.
  5. After the Ring of Light spins and flashes one time on the controller and on the console, the controller is connected. The quadrant on the Ring of Light that remains lit indicates the position in which the controller is connected.
  6. Note If you want help connecting an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to your Xbox 360 console, you can contact Xbox Customer Support. For more information about how to contact Xbox Customer Support, please visit the Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/support/) Web site.

  • The controller remains connected to the Xbox console even when you turn off the Xbox console.
  • The controller is connected to only one Xbox console at a time. You can connect the controller to a different Xbox console at any time, but your connection to the previously connected console is lost. You must repeat these steps to reconnect the controller to the original console after your connection to the console is lost.
  • The controller works within 33 feet (10 meters) of your Xbox 360 console. However, objects between the controller and the console may reduce this range.
  • If the controller does not turn on, the batteries may have to be replaced.

I have a red ring flashing on my console

This red ring flashing on your Xbox 360 can represent two things.

If there are 4 parts of the ring that are red, it could just be caused by a cord not fully plugged in. Please make sure you have every cable securely plugged into the back of the Xbox 360.

If there is 3 parts of the ring that are red, this is called the Ring Of Death. It is a Hardware or Power Supply Failure with the 360 which leaves the system totally useless. There is a solution to getting your 360 fixed.

Please contact Microsoft and send your Xbox to be fixed. There should be no problems with them taking your 360, and everything should be covered, or you may be able to bring it into where you purchased it, and get the Xbox exchanged, or they will send it to Microsoft for you.

Hope this helps ^^. Please dont forget to rate, Thanks

I need help with my 360. I'm 11 years old i have the 3 rings of d

The best advice I can give is having it sent in to microsoft. While you might be without your xbox for a few weeks, your xbox may still be under warranty and be fixed for free. Its not the quickest method of repair, but its the most certain and reliable. I've repaired xbox 360's myself and its not worth the hassle nor is it always a sure thing, for some red ring errors it can require soldering, which can be very difficult for the  average person.
