Dear Experts, I have a philips DVD player, but not sure if its the same model shown here( but it looks quite similar!!).. The player was working tremendously over 6 years, but recently I tried to play a DVD..it plays the first 10-15 secs of the disc and starts replaying it from the start..sort of like a loop!..I tried my other discs( which played perfectly before), to find it was the same with all the discs. I think its something to do with the player. I have thought about buying a cleaning disc to clean the lens( which is quite expensive i admit!). Do let me know what the best I could do..I also do not wish to give/ exchange the player for a new one.. Thanks & regards Reghu

Hi
It could be you have inavertadly set the A-B function this plays from between these points.
See if you have an A-B on remote or menu and clear it.

I need a new power supply unit for philips dvd hts3569/98 home theatre system that got burnt

WOW! Your power supply is exotic!... You MAY have better luck searching for similar supply models shown below? They all (apparently) all use the same supply. Methinks chances of finding a used one are quite slim.

I WAS able to locate a SERVICE MANUAL for:

Home Theater DVD Player HTS3510/12/51/55/78/93/94/98

PAGE 7-1
shows a FULL POWER SUPPLY SCHEMATIC WITH voltages and part numbers ~ YES!

Know there are FIVE different voltages provided FROM the supply... which ONE or ONES are missing?

The TROUBLE SHOOTING CHART is very well written and should help you greatly!

Most of the parts appear to be 'standard parts' except for the 2 transformers!
From memory, T501 and T502?? Don't quote me on that.

I have a Phillips HDD & DVD player/Recorder and when i try to open the try a sign comes up saying BLOCKED and I can't load a disc

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, postback with the model number.

BLOCKED as it implies indicates that the tray could not slide out; a common problem with some Philips models. Fix is to replace the DVD deck mechanism. Workaround is to always leave a disc inside.

Offhand, on most Philips models, there would be a manual eject slot at the bottom of the unit as shown in the representative image below.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

Remote control does not match that shown in the user manual

It sounds to me as if you have a replacement remote rather than the original. Later models will still work, though will look quite different. The DMR-ES10 in the UK was shipped with the EUR7720KM0 remote, whilst the DMR-ES15 was shipped with the EUR7659Y50, for instance. The functions should remain broadly similar, though you may have to hunt a little to find the correct hard/soft key!

Let me know the remote model you have and I may be able to assist further.

Philips LX3700D DVD player only plays first 30secs of any disc...

Sounds like the is something restricting the laser from traveling down the guide bars. If you are able, take the cover off and make sure the laser moves freely back and forth on the raols.

How to connect

User manuals are available from www.p4c.philips.com

Set language and country options.

Put each model number in the search box and select "User Manuals"

DVP3007 is not shown, but the DVPO3005 is the uk version. Main difference is the DVP3005 has a scart connector.

HTR200 is not shown at all. It may be part of a package with a different model number/

If the HTR200 has a Digital Coax input ,then a single phono (RCA) connection from that to the digital coax output on the DVD will give the correct output.

If this is already the case, then you may not be getting sound from the other 2 speakers if there is no soundtrack for them on that part of the DVD.

Possible codes for Philips DVD Players are: 0441, 0442, 0943, 0177, 0599, 0799, 0699, 0247, 0447, 0598, 1211, 1214. More specifically, codes for Philips DVD Recorders are 0599, 0699, and 1211.

I have the Philips 3355 DVDR, and the code 0599 works on my Philips URC US2-PH5DSS.

You can visit the Philips Universal Remote Control code look-up page to find just about any manufacturer code for a Philips remote. The page is here: http://www.urc.philips.com/. I don't see your remote there, but maybe you can lookup the codes under a similar remote.

DVD tray won't open/eject

I had a similar problem, and I took the player apart to find that there was a motor that has a snap-in connection to a circuit board and it was just disconnected. I reconnected it and it worked fine. There are quite a few philips head screws to remove to get into the case. It slides off the back. Once inside, it's very simple looking, it is really un-intimidating. You may have 4 more very small screws to remove directly on top of the DVD tray. If you need to take it off to see under the tray that is. I'd like to guess the problem is that the motor that ejects the tray is disconnected.
