Question about Panasonic Projection Televisions

My Panasonic TH50PZ77U just went black. I've had it for 7 months...Xmas present. It powers on, but has no picture of any kind. Any idea what is wrong and/or how to fix it.

There seems to be a hardware failure inside your TV and it might not be a DIY.
This plasma still has manufacturers warranty. I would suggest to call Panasonic to ask them for the nearest authorized repair center to have it repair under their warranty.
Even if the plasma was a present still would be cover under warranty.
Good Luck

Okay, so my Panasonic PT-43LC14 went black in mid show last night. The bulb is approximately 18 months old. The LED indicators upon Power On are; Power LED blinks green for approximately 70 seconds; Then...

Check the bulb again and look at the root of where the main stem comes out inside and be sure you don't see any bubble like appearence around the stem at the bottom there. If you do see this then the bulb is bad. Otherwise try this: Hold volume down on front of unit and pip on remote for about 5 seconds. Message will come on screen that timer has been reset to zero. This sets the lamp timer to 0

We bought a bulb for our big screen, we have only had it for 7 months. Is there a problem with our television,

No! There is a problem with the LFS4000 lamp that is in it.My first lamp went in 7 months, second lamp in 10 months and am looking at buying a new lamp again, this tv is only 2 years old. Call panasonic 1-800 # found on their website and complain, ask for your complaint to be forwarded to customer relations, you will get a reference # and someone will call you back.Good luck!

I have a Panasonic HDTV 1080i, We started to experience a yellow and blue arc at the bottom of the screen about a month ago. Last night the picture went black. Only the sound is left. What happened?

The convergence IC's are definitely bad. This is a big repair involving taking out the main board and soldering in two new IC's. They are not plug-in components and you would need a professional to do this job.

Alot of red and double image

I had same problem. First went in tomenu and went to set up settings and went to convergence area. I then reset this back to default, which I later was told I should have not done so do not attempt this it will temporarily fix issue but problem will persisit.
I found a local tv repair man thru tvrepairguy.com or something like that as they are hard to find.
The issue turned out to be the convergence boards or circuits, He then went in to master control and rset the convergence settings for the main picture by lining up the red and blue lines on to a white cross on the screen until it is black and white with no red or blue protruding vertically or laterally. He then did this for 7 points around center picture moving the lines. He suggests you play with this for awhile in a position you would normally sit in and at proper eye level to give you the truest picture for alignment. The part cost 109 to replace with labor and service total was 331. The repairman was very nice and explained the issue should be fixed and we should get another 6 to 7 years out of television.
Hope this helps,

Panasonic Rear Projection TV

its either the color wheel or light engine they can both cause this symptom. I would inspect the color wheel see if its brken or at the very least got a good connection as thats alot cheaper than a light engine.

Panasonic 51"

First there are a few questions. Did You disconnect fly back xformer (black honeycomb looking deal with red large gauge wires)? Did you make sure your solder splash didn't bleed over on causing shorted amplfier(s)? Have you identified what component has went home to ma ma? You should see discoloration on either board, replace blown fuse power board replace damage part(s) and go over real good before applying power.
