Question about Dryers
If you are talking about the idler pulley, which isn't a pulley at all, it is highly recommended that you replace it with a standard idler pulley. This was orginally designed as an attempt to save money by the manufacturer, but turned out to cause premature belt wear in many cases. A replacement idler assembly (part number 691366) is a better option. As far as reinstalling the dryer belt, you can find diagrams at repairclinic.com under the "Special Features" section under "Repair Help". There is a link for "Dryer Belt Diagrams". Your dryer is manufactured by Whirlpool. Your diagram will be either "H" or "K" depending on how the dryer is constructed. If your dryer has a removeable back panel, use "H". If dryer does not have a removeable back panel, use "K". HINT: Most dryers with removeable backs have the lint screen on the top of the dryer. If you need additional assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
