I have owned this unit for four years and it has worked well until the last year when the motor spin-up started failing in the drive. It finally died altogether and I attempted to repair the NEC ND-1100A DVD-RW drive inside the unit but the motor is completely gone. I attempted to replace the drive with an Optorite DD0201 I have but the unit hardware refused to recognize the drive.
Since the NEC ND-1100A is no longer available except through rebuilds that cost more than the unit is worth, are there any other drives that will work with this unit so I can get it back online again?

I don't know about where you guys are but when I went on to www.sanyo.co.nz and went into support and insturction manual searched DVD recorder it came up with english manuals for all their DVD recorders, just cick on the one you need
I take it this is a recorder only model not one with hard drive.
I guess it will be line out from PC to line in on the recorder
The recorder probably has RCA red/white cords
So you will need a 3.5mm stereo jack to RCA converter this will work on the PC either way line out for trans to DVD line in for form DVD to PC
